Volumes of Pleasure Bookshoppe — Local services in Morro Bay

This book store has very little for the educated reader. The "Classics" section lacks actual classical content. One copy of Aristophanes and Plato does not a classic section make. It might as well be renamed to "historically popular" because to the trained eye, "Classic" refers to classical antiquity. Students who go to university to study "Classics" are not reading The Great Gatsby. Despite having a name that evokes the Middle Ages (Bookshoppe), this store has very little, if anything, from or about such an age. The name is purely an affectation. In fact, the focus should be on the "Volumes of Pleasure" part, for this store deals with and thrives on hedonism. It makes sense that the store's showcase window is political slop, for they have not a good selection of meaningful works. I had the unfortunate experience of meeting the owner and he behaves exactly how you would expect given the condition of the store. It is a shame that he places signs up reading "Ignore the Constitution, it will go away." Surely, if HE were in charge, all the problems would disappear. What a fascistic idea. Do yourself a favor and take your business to a place that does not engage in such folly and instead cares about the history of literature more than their own...

Hidden just on the edge of Los Osos/ San Luis Obispo in a small shopping plaza is Volumes of Pleasure bookshop. It is well stocked and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. There are books ranging through a variety of topics like philosophy, fiction, self help, travel and much more. The store also has calendars and arts and crafts materials as well. In the back right off the store you can find crystals, sculptures and a healthy amount of incense to choose from. The back left of the store has a decent selection of things for kids as well from...

One of the best pet stores in this Plaza that I have been to end return to as many times that I can... Also bookstore beautiful great selection of books at wonderful prices.. When boys were younger many years ago love to take them there and always found something that put a smile on her face for you. Thanks for being open for so many years :-) many...
