Lotus Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Morro Bay

We've ordered from this spot five times now. The last three times were a disappointment because they messed up our order. When you place your online order you simply walk through the options and click "add to order" for each item you want. Here's where it goes bad... There are boxes to check for what protein you want (chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu etc). And another set of boxes for the level of spice you want ranging from mild, normal, medium, spicy and hot.. NO MATTER WHICH PROTEIN OPTION OR SPICE LWVWL WE SELECT WE ALWAYS GET CHICKN WITH ZERO SPICE. It's not only not spicy it's actually got a strange sweetness to it??

So. Our 1st two online orders were correct and the last three orders have been messed up. I suspect the root cause of the problem is that the people making the food cannot read English

Small town, rural area, entrance to parking lot is down the hill. the place is almost a bit hidden and one could be easy to drive past. inside just a few tables, and it could really qualify as a hole in the wall type place. Enter and be greeted immediately. The kitchen is right there in front of you and fully visible. Place your order, and out comes wonderful Thai Flavors. I had the pineapple fried rice and was quite pleased. I think I am hooked on this dish! so many flavors and so filling. One order could be a meal for two. It made a big lunch for me. Getting it to go and enjoying lunch while overlooking the Pacific, Morro rock and the sand spit at the entrance to Montana De Oro state park (only about 3 miles away) is a delight for me. Thank...

First time there tonight and ordered the Green Curry & Drunken Noodles both with Chicken To-Go and it was amazing! Green curry had plenty of fresh vegetables (squash, bell peppers) with the perfect balance of chicken and this would easily serve 2 but you might as well get two orders or you’ll be fighting over the last serving...the drunken noodles had that tasty wok grilled chicken with more fresh bell peppers and tomatoes and basil all sautéed together making for a delicious blend with thin sticky textured noodles. Prices are very reasonable for the large portion sizes. This place definitely is up there on the Best Thai on the central coast list.
