This is a homey type of theater. For sure a small town atmosphere. Prices we not to bad compared to some other places. Theater are a bit on the small side, but that was a good thing. Popcorn was on point, fresh and tasty. There was an oder in the theater but it became unnoticeable after about ten minutes(that's the - 1 star). Fountain drinks, free refills on large popcorn and drinks. Overall i had a great experience and the atmosphere of this small little theater is great. Also, i didn't catch the young lady's name that worked there but she had a smile like 90% of the time and seemed to really enjoy her job which translated into perfect customer service. Highly recommend if you want an overall great movie watching experience!! EDIT: this review from 7 years ago no longer applies. They went downhill. We were put in the smallest theater they had(cinema 3) for an opening weekend movie, the screen was torn, the lights they kept on during the movie were too bright and interfered with the movie, could barely make out some of the darker scenes. The seat we chose squeaked so we moved only to find that every single seat there squeaked which wasnt ideal because anytime anyone adjusted we could here it. Customer service was still on...
Read moreI would love to give them 5 stars, because I love supporting local businesses, but I cannot. I will visit Morton cinemas as often as possible, but my wife will not join me. And here's why. The projection is sub par, along with the entire theater experience. The video and audio quality is not what it needs to be. It's not a great enough experience to be fully engaging. The screens are also tiny; there are times I feel I should have stayed home and watched on my TV. It appears they are always under construction. Once the updates are complete, and the theater improvements are up to par, perhaps I'll move this rating to 5 stars.
On the flip side, you will not find a more cost effective location to view movies and grab some...
Read moreI enjoy coming here for the great prices and smaller crowd. For example, I came to see Captain Marvel on a Saturday the week the movie came out. I arrived about 10 minutes before start time and was able to pick out a great seat.
My only complaint is that the movie screens seem to have poor definition. Movies seem darker than they should be and sometimes a portion of the film is cut off at the bottom. I still keep coming back because of the price of admission but other times I prefer the larger franchise theatre for better quality video.
If you're a parent looking to take your kids to see a family movie on a budget then I would consider Morton Cinemas
*I would also warn you to not get their butter on...
