Coles Hardware Inc. — Local services in Mount Carmel Township

I prefer to go to Coles over HD or L because even though they have several locations, they're still local. Furthermore, they still keep a number of items that you won't find at the big box stores. Staff is very friendly and remember you and what you were looking for the last time you were there. Made another visit today, 9/26/25 to find something to plug two bolt holes. Surprisingly I found the right size cork that fit perfectly in the top of the hollow bolts, I need to run wires through them once my new lights come it, but in the meantime, the cork will keep out water...

This is my go to store every time! I do alot of DIY projects and most of my needs are for the ideas that come when I'm repairing something, (has to be make it better than before). The customer service here is phenomenal!! I have yet to have any one of them tell me my idea won't work, in fact, they always add a "don't forget to" or "you may need". And if one can't help, they always call on another to assist. And the next time I go in they always ask how it worked out followed by what project today, lol. I appreciate the level of confidence...

Great place to shop...they loaded my car with the bags of topsoil that I purchased unlike the nearby Walmart where I would have had to carry or cart everything to the front of the store and pay for it and then back to car that was parked by their garden center and load my car by myself. Coles is a smaller Pennsylvania based Hardware store with various locations and friendly, knowledgeable people. I don't go anywhere else for Hardware and gardening and home...
