I purchased a very small sirloin steak for a special dinner on Sunday night. Dinner was carefully prepared with sautĂ© onions & mushrooms, baked Brussels sprouts, twice baked potato, watermelon-feta salad. The steak was cooked to perfection in a cast iron skillet. Everything was delicious except the steak. The steak looked perfect raw, in the pan, and on the plate. (I could show you the pictures on tiktok) It was difficult to cut, very tough & chewy. I returned the steak packaging on Monday to advice I was not happy with steak. The cashier was not authorized to make customer service decisions. I left the steak packaging with a note that included my name and number. She said some one would call me Tuesday. No one called. I made the call and was told there was nothing that could be done. I was told since there were no other complaints, that I must have cooked it wrong. Just keep adding more insults to injury. Just because no one else complained doesn’t mean my complaint is invalid. I contemplated feeding the steak to my dog, but I didn’t want him to choke. Are you kidding me? I realize this is small town America, but this is so wrong. I spend a significant amount of money in your little market very week, sometimes multiple times. But I won’t be frequenting your store anymore. This is a terrible way to treat a customer over $4.00 steak. This is what keeps Jewel, Walmart & Aldi in business. My hope is Trader Joe moves in real soon. The cooked steak is in my refrigerator if you require “proof” Thanks for nothing.

I have nothing at all nice to say about this store for many reasons. The owners are always rude in many ways, they only play nice to your face, later they turn on a dime. People don't realize they talk behind everyone's back and think they are better than everyone. They serve Bad meat, especially chicken that goes bad and they still pass it off to be sold., Vegetables always go bad within days of purchase, they never stay fresh. And other foods that you buy are also always short lived. Among other issues within the store, health issues should be more regulated by the city, FDA, etc. In my opinion. People in town and other customers just have no real clue as to how this business is really run. If I didn't have to give only a one star review, because it is only required to do so as a minimum, I personally wouldn't even give any star...

It is a small store with alot of variety. My only complaint was that I bought a 40 lb bag of potting soil and had to lift it and carry it to my car as it was just before closing and no offer to get it to my car for me. The items in the store are things you cannot find in other stores like the spice blend accent. It tells me that they keep things that the cooks have used that are tried and true in their recipes. I think it has good meat prices on something each week, so stock up. Keep those hometown grocery stores busy and...
