A lot of people are in attendance at this event. It was popular and had lots of vendors and things to see. Parking was terrible, no traffic control. Although there were police present it felt like more presence should be there. Lots of vendors paid a high price to be there, yet except for food vendors (a few) many vendors had few or no customers. There were maps but no one passed them out. There were brochures but no one passed them out. Only saw two places to sit and eat and most people had no place to sit and eat. It said free transport but they were charging. Perhaps they will be better organized for 40 but I doubt I'll go again. The local parking needs to be regulated as highly as the vendors. Parking was $10 to $20 and it was almost impossible to leave once parked and I would be uncomfortable leaving my keys to these private spots where vehicles were parked too closely together. Read moreI'm giving the Pickle Fest 4-stars because it was actually better than what I expected it to be. I'm guessing after reading others comments, which mind you, one of my sisters thought the same, that it would be more "pickle pleasures". I did see someone with a candy coated pickle but trying to find it was a needle in a hay stack. I'm thinking more venders willing to cater to the pickle themed fest, would be greatly appreciated by many. I did see Pickle slushes, it's a name for it but can't remember. Overall my sister's and I did enjoy ourselves. I brought a few items even a bucket hat with a pickle on it but everything else that I purchased didn't have a pickle theme. None the less, the fact there was GOD in the mist on every corner made it all worthwhile. A Christian band was there.. a couple of them at that and they had a regular band which made this event cater to everyone...
Read moreI enjoy pickles for sure. I was a little disappointed that there were not a lot of vendors that had pickle items. I was able to try pickle lemonade, a pickle margarita cupcake, and a free pickle from Mt. Olive pickles. Other than that there was one place that had fried pickles and the line was extremely long. I enjoyed a funnel cake and a deep fried cheesecake. I also was able to experience the reptiles ( has nothing to do with pickles) they were out there though. Which was pretty cool to see them up close and personal.
