Update: The store owner/manager graciously apologized and gave my daughter the medical discount retroactively. The speed at which she responded was amazing. Clearly our experience looks to have been an anomaly. We both appreciate her making this right and redirecting our customer service experience from a poor one to exceptional. We like to shop local and small and will keep Bubbles as our go-to gift shop.

I have always really enjoyed shopping at this store. However, today my daughter and I stopped in to purchase Christmas gifts. My daughter spent over $300 and while her items were being bagged noticed that there was a sign advertising 10% discount for shoppers who are teachers, medical and first responders. As my daughter is a nurse, she asked the young girl checking us out if she could still get the discount and was abruptly told no. I know that this was only because she did not want to have to reverse the sale and redo it. For a shop who specifically requests their customers to shop small and local, they just proved they are no better than going to Target. My daughter was very polite about being told no, but something tells me had she treated the clerk otherwise, she would have gotten her $30 in discounts she was advertised as deserving. Very...
