I hardly know where to begin when talking about Miss Renee and her bridal shop!

I first found out about Miss Renee and saw her work on 19 Kids and Counting, and Br1ng9ng up Bates. I was immediately in love that she could create modest wedding gowns. It was then a dream, to one day have a dress from Renee’s Bridal. I did not know, that it would eventually turn out to be a reality.

I actually contacted Miss Renee just 5 days after my then fiancé and I got engaged. I was preparing myself, that she was probably way too busy to even think about taking me on. Especially since our scheduled wedding was about 5 months away. And to my surprise, just 10 days after I contacted Miss Renee, the almost 5 hour drive was made for the first initial visit. Walking into her shop was almost surreal, enchanting, and magical. And she is one of the most precious human beings I have ever met! As Ann (with an “e”) Shirley would say, “She is a kindred spirit.” I just loved talking with Miss Renee about anything and everything. She is like an aunt...she has those motherly qualities, but like a dear friend you can confide in. Miss Renee is a very special soul!

And as for the dress! I cannot describe it! Being someone who knows exactly what she likes, I was surprised to end up with a gown that I would never have picked out by browsing. But from description and trial and error trying on, Miss Renee knew exactly what I wanted...even before I did. And after the 1st look, Miss Renee, my mom, sister, and myself were all misty and crying. It was perfect! When I am in my gown, it makes me feel so special and like a princess...I never want to take it off! Miss Renee is great to ask beforehand the budget point, and bring out dresses that are in that range. And the quality and workmanship are just astounding! My dress will always be special, and hopefully passed down through the generations.

My husband and I ended up having an elopement wedding at the end of March, two months earlier then our original wedding date. And if it had not been for things shutting down just a week or two before we eloped, Miss Renee was trying every way possible to have my dress ready. I do not know how she has kept up with bride’s changing wedding dates, having new last names...but she manages to keep things running like a well oiled machine.

I now get to wear my wedding dress at two different receptions later on this summer. And I cannot wait to show it off, and tell people about one of the sweetest ladies that worked her magic, to make my dreams come true. I am going to miss my visits to Mount Sterling and visiting with someone who feels like a dear friend and almost like a family member!

Mrs.Renee is truly the best dress designer in the world. When I first saw Mrs. Renee it was on the show 19 kids at counting, when I noticed the Duggar girls were flying to Kentucky to have them make a dress for them, I searched for Renee's Bridal and it popped up in Mt.Sterling KY. At that moment I knew when it was my time to be a bride, I wanted Mrs.Renee to make my dress and I've never met her before. I wrote her location down in my phone and its been in there for years, she is only two hours away from me. So, October 07 2018 when I got engaged I called Mrs. Renee the next day and just hearing her voice just made it all feel so real. So I made an appointment with her and my mom and I drove to Mt.Sterling KY and that is when my dream became a reality. When I walked through the doors of her shop it was just magical. She is so sweet, kind, loving and so much fun to be around. She greets you right there at the door and I love that she calls everyone "sweet girl". All of the trips my mom and I made to Mt.Sterling wasn't just to try my dress on, it was to see our sweet friend Mrs. Renee. She has been on this journey with us since October of 2018, so she is considered family now. I was so lucky not only to have 1 dress made by her but 2! I had a ceremony dress and a reception dress. My ceremony dress was just magical, I felt like a Princess in it. It was so beautiful and so big, the sleeves were long and lace all over, the dress was beaded top to bottom and the train was long. My veil was longer than the dress and was beautiful. My 2nd dress was actually made for Mrs. Renee for her wedding but her husband wanted her to wear white. So when we talked about a 2nd dress she said "hang on, ill be back". At the top of the stairs she was holding the dress and my mom said " wow, that is the one". Down the stairs she came and into the dressing room and I was at a loss for words. It was a show stopper for sure and the perfect reception party dress. It was burgundy, off the shoulder dress, form fitting and the bottom flared out and she added sequins on it. Mrs. Renee came down to Shepherdsville, KY where I am from for my wedding and brought both of my dresses and helped me get into both of them. Only my bridesmaids and mom knew about the 2nd dress so it was a lot of fun keeping it a secret from everyone else and making a grand entrance in it was a lot of fun too. She helped me walk around to take pictures and was there whenever I needed anything. Mrs.Renee loves what she does and having her make my dream dress for me is a memory that I will get to carry with me forever. I am so in love with my dress, I wish I could go back to that day to relive it all over again because it was that perfect. We love Mrs. Renee so much. Everyone needs to check her shop out. I am so thankful I found Renee! I feel so fortunate that I live just a 30-minute drive away from her shop. Renee designs and creates her own line of wedding dresses (that are all SO beautiful – her dresses have been featured in the People magazine!), so I knew I was in good hands when I found her, but she still managed to exceed all of my expectations! She was always so helpful and supportive in figuring out what would be the best thing to do for me and my dress, and the resulting alterations of my dress were flawless. She was also open to trying different, creative things that I had “seen on Instagram.” The bustle she did for me was a new method for her and she made it so perfectly. She made my dream dress come to life. And to add to that, she made a second dream dress of mine come true! I had a second, reception dress in my head, but hadn’t been able to find anything available to purchase that was close enough to that vision. So she offered to make me a custom dress! She worked with me to completely understand my vision (looking at so many pictures I sent her, going through each one to discuss what I liked and didn’t like) while making expert suggestions, she carefully selected beautiful fabric, and then actually created the dress! It was SO perfect! It was everything I had wanted, and it was also so comfortable! I had an absolute blast dancing in both of my dresses made perfect by Renee on my wedding day, and felt so beautiful in them! PLUS, Renee is seriously one of the sweetest human beings I have ever met. She really makes you feel like you are the most important person when she is listening and talking to you. She was also an angel when my mom came with me to an alterations appointment, being so patient as my mom did all of her mom-assessments while Renee tried to work. If you live remotely close to Mt.
