Lunch from one of my favorite spots #lunch #food #tgif #friday #fyp #pizza

This place used to be great! My wife and I used to love to eat here. Stopped in for a quick lunch and it has just deteriorated. I felt like I was interrupting a conversation the order taker was having with another employee when it was our turn to order. After my wife ordered, I had to wait another minute or two for her to return to her conversation with another employee before she was ready to remember to take my order as well. Yes, these are small things, but they add up quickly. Our food took about 15 minutes longer than usual because the employees were busy on their phones or talking with each other. As we are, my wife and I had to keep repeating ourselves because we couldn't hear over the group if employees all talking very loudly about personal hygiene, which neither of us wanted to hear while we are eating. Finally, they have obviously changed their ingredients to save money. The cheese tasted like a cheap knock off of the cheese they used to use, the dressings are sub par when compared to the dressings they used to serve, pizza crust was burnt on both pizzas (either from not cleaning the oven or from employees being distracted) and the chopped salad, which used to actually be chopped, is now obvioulssy just a bag mix which they need to change. The photo is of all the rotten pieces of lettuce that came out of one salad. I should also mention that we were the only customers in the place so literally nothing should have been wrong. Needless to say, we will not be going back... I'd say that Tomatoes and Flames has gone down in flames, in my opinion.

Took my family to try the local pizza place. It has a very cute and welcoming vibe! Until you actually order food here. My husband and I came in one day and ordered a coffee during the week, the girls behind the counter acted like they’ve never served anyone a coffee before. My husband had a few questions that they answered hesitantly, while the owner sat at a table on his phone. It felt awkward. The next week we decided the descriptions of their pizza were too good to pass up. Wood-fired pizza with fresh mozzarella and cupping pepperonis? Sign me up! The ambiance is very nice. Good music playing, artwork on the walls and real plants on each table. We ordered and tipped at the counter and our “server” (he had a floured apron on) gave us our drinks and then proceeded to sit down with his own food and eat. Workers gotta eat too, I get it. We were served our pizzas and no one offered a plate, silverware or even a napkin. No napkins on the table, either. Drink machine was behind the register so it’s definitely not a self-serve place. It made me wonder if they tip share, because if not we tipped someone who literally sat down after we ordered, leaving the other two workers to finish serving. The pizza was embarrassing. The crust was limp, not cooked all the way, had absolutely no wood-fired taste, the cheese was very obviously cheap mozzarella as well as the pepperoni. Frozen pizza tastes better than this. We honestly felt lied to from the descriptions. Very disappointed and will not be back.

We came on 8-22-25 we were unaware of a special dinner special that they had when we got to the counter to order. They still took our order. They were out of a few things that we wanted but were able to find a substitute. We were not told that it would take a certain amount of time to prepare our food. Had we known ahead of time how long the wait would have been we would have went somewhere else. We waited over an hour and a half for our food and ended up having to take it to go because it took so long. When we got our food it was sub par. The garlic knots were dry with not flavor or garlic, the calzone we ordered was also dry. The pasta was lacking in flavor, as this was our second choice. Upon ordering we thought we would give the second options a try. When they came out we were highly disappointed. I understand they had a special reservation menu ( we learned this when we got to the restaurant) if we had been notified ahead of time the amount of time that it would take to have our order sent to our table we would have declined and went somewhere else. The lack of service was subpar and we will not be going back. We spent a good amount of money for our food and the subpar service and food quality was not matched to what we paid. Had we been told upon ordering the long wait time we would have declined and went somewhere else. When a restaurant has a special menu/event they should notify customers walking in to order what is to be expected. We arrived 2 hours before the restaurant was to close and we spent way past the time the restaurant closed to get our food wanting to eat there only to take it home. Very...
