Mount Vernon Grocery — Local services in Mount Vernon

Kinda disappointed because I bought some oyster here in a bag. I thought it was kinda weird they was not frozen. But I figure maybe they take them out at closing. Put them back out during the day. Well they made us really sick. And I call today to let them know. Not an apology or ask were we ok. Bring your receipts we do a refund. The lady acted like it was just inconvenience that I call. They have some really good prices. But I think I will shop in Vidalia. Because Oyster is nothing to play it. It could have been a lot worse. To the lady who took my call 03/03/25. I can't believe that it's okay to sell produce that's close to rotten. I read the reviews before going in, knew it'd be a risk, but this was horrible. The prices in here are ridiculous too. I bought some flour that had some lil black bugs in it. I Have never heard of this grocery store, just bought a house in Mt.Vernon, I had thought how convenient, but I see theres several grocery stores in Vidalia, 10 miles down the road, and what a huge difference in quality and price. I went back in to check the produce, and meats.(it's what I do) I will have to say the 2 ladies running register were the most welcoming, so sweet from the moment I walked in to cashing out. Also seems a bit more produce in, but definitely room for improvement. It's so expensive we all would like to see it last more than a day. The meat had the best deals of all. I do see improvement is well on it's way, especially since my last review. though wasn't expecting to be called out in such a negative manner...
