They were hired by my warranty company to check out my oven. The repairman told us that the igniter needed replacing and that they had to order the part. After the part came in we had to wait another week for the repairman to come install it. After he installed it and left we discovered that we had a gas leak coming from the oven. The utility company was called to check out the leak. We were told not to use the oven again until it was fixed. This was a Friday night so we had to wait until the following Monday to contact Watson's. Watson's scheduled an appointment for July 3rd(another Friday). No one showed up because they were closed to celebrate July 4th. So we had to wait until the following Monday again. A man, who I believe is the owner called my wife and apologized for all the confusion and assured her that someone will be out the next day. After waiting a while the next day I called Watson's to find out what time they were coming. A lady answered the phone and told us our appointment was scheduled for July 10th. I told her about the conversation my wife had with the man who scheduled the our appointment for this day(July 7th). I requested for the owner to call me and the lady on the phone refused to tell the owner to call me. Then she said after some research that our warranty company had to call them again to start another repair ticket before they would come out on the 10th. I stated that it was Watson's repairman that didn't install the part correctly so I shouldn't have to call my warranty company. Her reply was that I needed to do what I need to do so she can do her job in scheduling another appointment. I did call my warranty company and told them about the situation, they thought this was completely unacceptable and said that they would find another company to do the repair. Stay far away...
Read moreReally disappointed in the quality of service. We had a problem with our convection oven/microwave where the display was not working, everything else worked you just couldn't see the display..The technician showed up and I explained what was going on and even demonstrated what was wrong. He said he would have to order a display panel and I said do what you have to in order to fix it. A couple of days later we had a brief power outage where the power went out and came back on immediately - presto! the display started working again. Basically the system reset itself by powering off and then on again. I called first thing the next morning and had them cancel the part (very expensive part also) which they did. Two days later I get a bill for $71 for the service call. I have no problem with paying for a service call but what the technician did was not service - he didn't bother to troubleshoot the problem at all - just said I needed an expensive part. Had he been more knowledgeable or at least attempted to troubleshoot the problem he probably could have fixed it right away just with a simple power reset. I went to the shop to speak with them and tell them that I should only have to pay for 1/2 the service call because the technician only did 1/2 the job (he showed up). After discussing this with the technician (the owners son) he agreed that he could have troubleshot the problem a little more but they charged me the full service fee anyway, which I reluctantly paid because I am an honorable person. WATSON's will never get any more of my business and I would NOT RECOMMEND this...
Read moreMiserable customer experience. We intended to have them repair our ice maker when it went out. Straight away, they told us that the compressor went out (a costly repair). Two months later, we still didn't have our ice maker. Of course we had tried calling them several times-- businesses, mobile phones, etc. and either they wouldn't pick up or they couldn't give us information about our ice maker. We finally reached someone who told us that they had to order a compressor and run it for a week to make sure it was working. One week later, we called to touch base. No answer. We call several times over the next 2 weeks. Finally, we decide to go back up to their shop. Once there, we find our ice maker hasn't been repaired. No compressor, no testing, etc. We loaded it into our car and left. We will never use this company again. We ended up calling Mr. Appliance (on Summer Avenue) and we had our ice maker fixed by the end of the day. Turned out to be the pump-- a relatively inexpensive repair. Within the first 2 minutes they told us that the compressor was in great shape. In summary-- save yourself the time and heartache! Use...
