I arrived at 10, which is when they're supposed to open, and ended up waiting 20 minutes in the parking lot. I left because we got tired of waiting and they didn't end up getting there until 11. We went inside and I explained what I wanted to Holly, which was a light pink color. She told me she would only bleach my hair to a point that wouldn't damage it, and I was fine with that.
She ended up putting the bleach in and rarely checked on it. Afterwards she got out some light pink dye, and she didn't even have enough to cover the whole top of my head. She got out more, which she said was "the same color, just a different brand" but was actually a VERY bright hot pink color. She left it in my hair for over an hour and only checked on it once.
We finally washed the dye out of my hair, and while she was washing it she went and got purple hair dye and only told me she was putting it in after she had already started to do it. The whole time she was either telling me what was happening last minute or after she had already done it.
When that was all done, my hair ended up being purple, light pink, and hot pink with blonde patches throughout. When she dried my hair, it was very dry and frizzy and it was very poofy and coarse.
I left because I was too afraid to say anything at first and I was crying in my car because my hair looked so bad. I got a friend to call for me because I was too upset to talk and we decided to go back and try and fix it.
When we arrived we decided to try and put demi-permanent brown dye in my hair, because permanent dye would damage it more. Afterwards the color looked fine but still had some purple streaks, but it wasn't that big of a deal to me because I was just glad it didn't look like it did before.
I left the shop and went to the store to get stuff to try and fix my very damaged hair, and while I was shopping I gently ran my fingers through my hair and noticed it was falling out in huge chunks.
I was too afraid to be seen in public or even go to school the next day because it looked so bad. Half of my hair had fallen out.
If they didn't have the right products or the right amount to do my hair they shouldn't have agreed to try. They should understand their limits and know when to just tell the customer to come back another day, so disasters like this don't happen.
I included some pictures of how the color turned out and the picture I showed her of what I wanted my hair to look like when I got there, as well as the aftermath of it falling out from being so...
