A very nice walking trail, mainly flat, along the river, right in downtown Murphy. Some extensions of the main path may be under water when the river is high, and then muddy when it's low. There are enough small parking areas with access to the trail, and parking is easy. There are also some benches if you need a rest and fishing in the river is allowed. Read moreBeautiful paved walkways, good parking, good play areas for softball, benches to sit on, swings for the elderly to swing on while watching the river flow down. The geese were ducking down over the waters while honking on their way. The one way road goes completely around to connect with the town again. Beautiful afternoon for a picnic, lease required for dog walking, baggy stations throughout to pick up and a GREAT place for a relaxed afternoon....
