Remis Arcane Exchange — Local services in Muscatine

TLDR; I have tried twice with this place, and both times I have been disappointed.

The first time I tried to go to this store was for a Bandai tournament, I drove an hour to get there (coming from Iowa City). When I got there, I saw on Facebook that they had cancelled the event ~10 minutes before it started. They did not receive any product to host, which I understand completely. But I had just driven an hour, and wasted 2 hours of my night because they did not want to communicate with players.

The second time they disappointed me was when I saw on Facebook that they were getting in some new hot product that I was interested in. I called within a couple hours of the posting and asked if they could set some aside for me. The guy on the phone was very helpful and quick to put it on hold for me. I asked him if I could pay for it over the phone, because I would be out of town and unable to get it for about a week. He told me that it wasn’t a problem and it would be there on the day I could pick it up. That day was today, and before making the drive out I learned to call ahead. Thank goodness I did, because they had sold 1 of the 2 products I had asked them to hold. When looking around the shop, the person on the phone told me they had that same product held for a different customer, but had sold my copy.

I haven't played magic in a few years, I walked into the store a little skeptical at first today. Walked around for a few minutes awestruck at the amount games and collectibles and felt a little out of place. The man running the counter was super friendly and helped me to pick out a pre built commander deck and invites me to sleeve my cards and play some games with the patrons. The community at this shop was amazing and I haven't had that much fun playing magic in a long time. Everyone was super friendly and shared their decks, making the evening a blast. Large selection of D&D suppliments, miniatures, and scenery. Very friendly owners and a welcoming environment!

Dice-a-topia! They have a large selection of polyhedrals - from plain Jane to Supa sparkly!

Cards, cards, cards! Has a good selection of packs of card collecting games for purchase, also.

Playing area/tables available to play on. I didn't ask about them, but they seemed to have a couple of side rooms with nice game tables, too.
