Crew is kind but i would not recommend at this point in time. My car had broken down saturday of memorial weekend and was towed to point s that same day around 8pm. I believe when we got there i had spoken to an older gentleman who i thought to be the owner of the shop about what had happened when the car broke down and he had told me we will make contact that following tuesday after memorial day. I had forgotten to put my phone number on the drop off sheet so i ended up calling them that tuesday to see what had been done to the car. To my surprise they did not touch the car due to the fact my phone number was missing…may just be me but i thought a diagnostic AT LEAST could be ran on the car without a phone number but i guess not. I gave the woman on the phone (who’s name is Kelly) my phone number and told her again what had happened when the car broke down because the gentleman i spoke to that night must not have spoken to the crew about it what so ever, kelly told me the car may not be ready until wednesday which i did not expect to be done anyway. I received no call all of wednesday so i decided to call to see what is going on. I talk with a man this time and he tells me again they have no phone number or have any clue what is needing to be done with my car. This tells me kelly did not take down or tell anyone of our conversation so something could get started with my vehicle and contact with me could be made. I again gave my phone number and described what happened and left it at that. Couple of days later i get a call and was told a diagnostic was finally ran and a crank sensor code was thrown, so that is what they will be replacing. Next day, get another call letting me know some how my part did not get on the parts list and that they should get it monday, june 8th. Monday then goes by and i get no call. Tuesday is now here and i now get a call from the mechanic telling me that the part was replaced but the car still will not run and they cannot/will not be fixing it and i will have to get it towed to a different place and will be charged for the part i didn’t not really need and did not fix the issue. I will excuse the difficulty of getting to my car due to the fact they are lacking in help. But most definitely where multiple mistake made resulting in my car being out and withheld from being fixed by someone else sooner. Had the diagnostic been ran tuesday, June 2nd the part would have been ordered that wednesday and delivered possibly that friday…my time was waisted and i am still left with a broken car. I appreciate the crews kindness and apologies toward the situation but some things where not handled correctly. I will also add my car was able to run and have power perfectly fine when i left it there but upon trying to get it loaded on a trailer it would not turn on or keep power for more...
Read moreHere is the story- I’m a solo female traveler on a road trip with my dog from San Diego, CA. So I’m a long way from home when my tire explodes in a small town just before sun down. For some reason the tire shop in that small town cannot help me even though they claim to be a 24 hour AAA towing establishment. They give me the number to Valley Center Tire in Myrtle Creek and I wait in their parking lot as it gets darker and darker for my tow truck. It’s getting darker and the tow truck time keeps getting pushed back and panic starts to set in a little bit. But then the owners of Valley Center Tire showed up to take a look at my tire size to confirm they had the right size. The second they arrived my panic subsided. They were immediately kind and understanding and could see that I was panicked and a little scared. The lovely lady owner was literally wearing a sweatshirt that said “Be Kind” and one of the first things she said to me was “You’re safe here, you’re alright.” Any woman reading this knows what those words meant to me in that moment. They confirmed that they had the tire size and my tow truck arrived (also a nice dude!) and I was at their shop in about 30 min. Yes, they opened their shop at 8 PM to help a girl out. Once there it was seamless. They replaced the tire. Showed me the old tire and even bagged it up for me to try to get a little money back as the tire was brand new. They checked my other 3 tires to make sure I was safe and good to go. The whole thing took about 20 mins. Their shop is beautiful and you can tell they take a ton of pride in what they do. We chatted about our pups a bit before I headed out and I safely made it to Eugene OR later that night. These are kind humans who deserve 100 stars. I’m so grateful to them for literally taking care of me last night. I left the tire shop in tears- grateful for the reminder that we are meant to look out for one another and to be kind to everyone we meet because you have no idea if their tire just exploded, or their kid is sick or they just lost a job etc etc etc. Grateful for the power of road trips and this lovely...
Read moreI took my pick-up in today with all paperwork of tires, wheels & lift kit purchased from the Myrtle Creek point S store (their own sale of $5000+). I am purchasing this truck & tires are in great shape at 80% tread & records of rotations. They tried to charge me to do a simple tire rotation when all point S paperwork says warranty & tire services are transferable with the paperwork present(including tire rotation). I had to get corporate involved & valley tire claims they are privately owned so they don’t need to honor point s warranty & service transfer. It ended up getting done only with point s representative speaking with the owner. They don’t deserve the point s name if they don’t want to honor point s paperwork. The topping on the cake was to be told, after they spoke with a point s rep” that I was free to go, but not to be here”. I know that they lost any chance of any upcoming sale to my self.
Beings that Valley Tire has responded with a nonsense reply, I have now attached a picture of point S tires warranty & service paperwork. At least they do acknowledge that they make the choice to not follow Point S warranty & services guidelines. According to Point S direct, there are many privately owned tire stores that participate in their franchise to get a better cut on tires. Over 200 dealers agree to cover their warranty & services from store to store to be able to get their discount. As far as the “ask seller for availability” according to point S representative directly- that statement means as follows: 1-have your tires been serviced at proper intervals 2-are your tires in a safe operating condition. It does not mean that a dealer can decide weather they want to participate in Point S warranty & services. As customers I hope that you will look at the warranty picture provided & the choices made by this dealer & think about if it makes good business sense for a dealer to feel that they can make their own rules & decisions that are against the franchises choices that...
