it would seem that certain items have prices that are coming down. They're still not Walmart prices but they're getting better. When it gets right down to it folks this store is always clean, it always is pretty much fully stocked with whatever they sell they have an abundance of it and they sell a lot. They have a lack of a better word certain fan base that just shops there and those people are committed to Chiefs that's the way they survive in this town. I've been going there more often and I'm starting to like the store regardless of the prices so I am going to upgrade my one star to three because the store has improved or maybe my perspective has changed. I don't know but I do see Improvement 4/20)25 Prices of once again going up up and up and almost into the ridiculous level that I'm not going to be going there too much anymore except on the nights I get off work late and nothing else is open since they're open till midnight. It's just not worth it to shop there in my opinion anymore.
Add on. On 02/22.Ggogle asked if Chief's has changed. - It hasn't changed, it is still too damn expensive to shop here. In addition the " Our Family " brand of products is a disgustingly gross tasting mess I wouldn't feed to my dog. Stop here when in a rush because the only guarantee I can say with almost 100% abject certainty is that you will be in & out quickly since it's NEVER crowded. Remember shop Walmart in Town or Meijer in Defiance.
Still expensive, nothing...
Read moreMy wife purchased some ground chuck for a cookout we recently had. Thinking that even the cost was high but at least the burgers would be a step up from ground hamburger. Could not have been more wrong. She has a tendency to larger patties then normally what people make. So didn't think much of when placing them on the grill. (When the burgers were done they could have been mistaken for meat balls). Very embarrassing when you feel you should have to convince your family that these things are hamburgers . And we were not cutting back to minni burgers. That week she went back to the store to let them know that the ground chuck was not near expectations. And explained the concerns. The store manager told her that there was nothing he could do. Besides telling the meat department about it. This is really sad that store that not only your self but your parents and grand parents purchased groceries. That not just the quality is declining the customer service is also less than good. I think we will be doing our...
Read moreI just moved to the area. Always loved Defiance,Bryan location, especially deli and nice variety. Clean and very friendly! However, It would take one hell of a coupon to get me to go back to the Napoleon location. The most unfriendly, rude people I’ve ever encountered. From the manager who stares right through you as you smile and say hello to the nasty cashier who checked me out without a single word, it was literally uncomfortable. Must be a miserable place to work, it’s certainly a miserable place to shop. Overpriced and deli looked terrible. Only game in town vibes. They have managed to take all the “special” out of the store. Not even...
