Mid-South Ceramic: Pottery Supplies — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

Our family has not been going here very long. We recently got into pottery and found Mid South. We typically go in on the weekends, due to work, and Denise and Carrie have been so friendly and inviting. They have made us feel so welcome and excepted our beginners pottery and kindly gave us extremely helpful advice for our next batch. We have purchased a Shimpo Lite and Aspire from Mid South, plus their glazes, clay and some tools. Every shopping experience has been a pleasant one. Our most exciting time here was having our pieces fired. When we picked up our glaze fired pieces, it was like seeing a new gift you weren't expecting. The staff was even excited to see the pieces. So much fun! They are also very accepting of children and have a lovely fish pool for the children to view and a dog, if you're there on the right day. We are actually moving out of Nashville and Mid South is the only thing we will truly miss! We will gladly drive the couple hours to stock up on...

After almost 50 years of working in clay and in the process dealing with many ceramic supply outlets, my experience with Mid-South Ceramics has been consistently excellent. I buy most if not all of my clay, chemicals, equipment and more from Mid-South at this point. I came down 2hrs for some business and decided to stop in and get some glaze supplies. Even though the REALLY prefer you cal 24hrs in advance (I didn’t know this at the time) for technical orders they were decently happy to accommodate and even let me tour their kilns. I met an artist there on campus who was happy to talk shop and show me around his studio. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Pretty cool outdoor campus too! I’d like to come to a workshop here.
