I stopped by San Luis Taqueria in Nashville on a whim for a late afternoon lunch, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. I ordered four tacos Mexican-style with the addition of tomatoes, and I was impressed with the quality. The tortillas were homemade, which added a delightful, authentic touch to every bite. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, fresh, and packed with flavor.

I also tried a sope, and it was exceptional—rich, savory, and wonderfully crafted. The accompanying red and green hot sauces were the perfect complements, offering just the right balance of heat and flavor without overwhelming the dishes.

Beyond the food, the restaurant itself was spotless. Both the dining area and the bathroom were immaculately clean, which speaks volumes about their commitment to maintaining high standards. The service was equally remarkable—the staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome throughout my visit.

Our server was an older gentleman. Super friendly. Great service. He could have been either an owner or a manager. We were passing by and stopped by on a whim. The marguerita was excellent. We shared nachos that were very tasty. The lettuce was notably fresh. Made the nachos even better. Only problem is he was the only one wearing a mask. We are encountering alot of restaurants not taking the mask wearing seriously and with covid ramping up again we don't feel safe eating out anynore even though we have been vaccinated. I would go back if we could have the same server but I didn't...

So I got a flat tire and was ready to hunker down in the car and wait for the tow truck when I noticed San Luis Taqueria. I am very wary of restaurants attached to gas stations (I know, not fair; but in some cases totally fair!! :). Anyway, I decided to brave it out and eat a taco. Well, I ended up getting the Flautas with extra avocado and cheese and…OHHH EMM GEE!!! This food is freaking delicious!!!! I will definitely return just for these!
