This is, I believe, the first time I have ever written an online review for a business and I really don't have time to be writing one, but the team at Miss Kitty's is so incredible that I decided I need to share my experience so that other dog owners will have a current review in light of the fact that when looking at reviews for places I always wonder if there has been staff turnover that could have changed a positive experience if a review is more than a few months old. I have a six and a half month old puppy who is an absolute delight and brings so much fun to my life, but who is very busy and extremely social whereas I am an introvert and in law school, so need periods of extended focus and quiet study. I didn't plan to utilize a doggy daycare service when I brought him home because I do school from home and work from home, so would be able to care for him essentially 24/7 myself. However, I had a week long intensive class that met for 8 hours with only one brief break when he was only three and a half months old, so I knew I needed to send him to a daycare that week. I researched online and saw that Miss Kitty's was among the places with the best reviews. I was skeptical, though, because of the leashless policy and watching the dogs on the webcam I was concerned that my dog would get lax with his house training skills since they don't police potty training in the daycare as much as I was doing at home in that phase of development. But, I knew I was going to have to trust whoever I went with and I figured that if my dog acted scared to go back the second day that I would just know to not take him there again and I would find another option. Well, quite the opposite happened. Every positive thing in every google review has been my experience. My tiny 3.5 month old puppy who weighed about 9lbs has grown into a 18 lb 6.5 month old puppy whose second favorite place on earth is Miss Kitty's. While I thought at first that he would only go that week of my class, I immediately saw such positive development from his time with the other dogs and with the nannies at Miss Kitty's that I realized he needed the social outlet and adjusted my budget (cutting back on something I really valued) so that I could send him a few days a week. If he could talk, I'm pretty sure he would tell me that it's his favorite present!

The most important thing to me is that the team members at Miss Kitty's really do know the dogs and they seem to adore all the dogs there, but definitely adore my dog! :) I can tell by how he acts toward them and how they act toward him. I am so thankful that they have the webcams that allow popping in to see how our dogs are doing (which has helped me spot some social behavior in my dog that I could then ask them about to help me get ideas on ways to shift) and flexibility with schedules for those who are regulars. Most of all, I love that when we pull in the parking lot, my dog's tail immediately starts wagging rapidly and he is thrilled to run in through the gate to the waiting nannies. At the same time, he's always bouncing to me with his tail wagging just as fast when I get there at the end of the day to pick him up. He's inevitably sleepy from all the play and Miss Kitty's is a key part of the balance of his routine and of mine.He has a happy, social dog life and I have an orderly, functional human life with an amazing dog who is extremely well socialized largely because of his time at Miss Kitty's. So, if you are someone new to the area or new to doggy daycare or with a new puppy looking for a daycare and you're reading reviews, please know that I ADORE my dog and do not trust easily, but the team at Miss Kitty's has absolutely earned my trust and...

My rating solely represents boarding operations and pricing, not staff or safety. I felt my dogs were taken care of, despite rarely seeing them.

My first time boarding my two dogs at Miss Kitty’s came with miscommunication about drop-off times. On Sundays, the facility opens 4 hours later. Miss Kitty’s website (and friendly staff) did not call this out to me. When I booked in person, I specially remember being told to ā€œignore the time on the reservationā€ since they are 7a-7p. Okay! Done…

I learned the hard way that Sunday is NOT the day to ignore reservation times… 🄲

CUT TO: Sunday AM. I have my dogs. Everything is locked. After 30 minutes of troubleshooting with no after-hours number or quick response in the app, I managed to frantically wave down the manager who was far away, but outside. After she saw an embarrassing display of travel anxiety, tears, and fast explanation, she ā€œbroke the rulesā€ (her words) to check my dogs in early. (She also mentioned the drop-off time was on my reservation, which I can laugh about now…sort of šŸ˜…). I would have missed my flight if it didn’t end up being delayed. FWIW - I felt the operations director was kind and understanding when we spoke on the phone afterwards.

Lastly, I do want to mention the pricing. I paid over $1,000 for two dogs across a 5 night stay only to have no photos sent to me and one text update (which was from the operations director who I’m sure heard about a crying woman and wanted to ease my experienceā€¦šŸ˜…).

Yes, there are 24/7 webcams, but you have to choose the Euro-style boarding and your dogs must be the same size. I have one small and one medium/large dog, so to avoid having them separated, saloon-style was my only option. The outdoor cameras don’t always catch your dogs, and you have to actively remember what time they go outside based on the boarding schedule. I realized I was paying the same amount as euro-style but with no 24/7 webcam access, which is worth the money in my opinion.

For comparison, I now use Hounds Town who were thorough and upfront about daily drop-off/pick-up times (before I asked), has fair pricing for two dogs, and a specific social page for daily photos of your pets. They are the preferable choice for this...

Miss Kitty’s is not just a pet boarding facility - it is a paradise for your furry friends! From the moment you step inside, you can feel the love and care that is poured into every detail of this wonderful place. It's no wonder that it has become the go-to destination for dog lovers in town. First and foremost, Miss Kitty’s boasts of an exceptional staff who treat every dog as if it were their own. Their commitment to the well-being and happiness of each animal is palpable, and it's hard not to feel at ease knowing that your beloved pet is in such good hands. Whether you're dropping off your dog off for a quick overnight stay or leaving your dog for an extended vacation, you can trust that Miss Kitty’s will provide the same high level of care every time. What really sets Miss Kitty’s apart from other pet boarding facilities is their attention to detail. They offer a range of amenities and services that cater to each pet's unique needs and preferences. From medications, to playtimes to special diets Miss Kitty’s goes above and beyond to ensure that every dog is happy, healthy, and comfortable. Overall, I cannot recommend Miss Kitty’s enough. It truly is the ultimate destination for pet lovers who want only the best for their furry friends. If you're looking for a safe, comfortable, and loving place to leave your pet while you're away, then Miss Kitty’s is the...
