A must visit shop if you are ever in Needham. My husband and I were visiting Boston from Miami and enjoy visiting local stores to bring back something special from the places we visit. We were so happy to stumble upon Pura Vida- the owner does an excellent job at curating a collection of quirky unique items that are made locally and globally. I picked up some locally made gold jewelry, a locally painted cheese board, some fun ornaments, as well as several items I will be gifting.

There is a whole section in the back with these Vinyl Floor Cloths that Daren, the owner, was telling us about. You can get them in custom sizes and there are tons of designs to choose from. We live in an apartment but once we move into a home he said we could order directly from him and get it shipped.

I've bought a few pieces from Pura Vida over the years, both for my old house in New Jersey and my new house in Florida. My latest purchase was a spectacular vinyl floor covering for our breakfast room that I selected with Daren's guidance. There's no denying that Daren has excellent taste and it shows in the quality and beauty of the pieces he chooses to offer his customers. As others have noted Daren has also mastered the lost art of customer service. He follows up without prompting, communicates well and generally gets ahead of any problems or delivery issues before they occur. The only downside is that other boutique retail experiences might suffer a bit by comparison once you are used to this kind of service. The owner of this shop, Daren, was so very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about getting the art I requested. I am not from Massachusetts and Daren went out of his way to make sure I was getting exactly what I requested. He kept me informed of my delivery and responded quickly to any of my inquiries. There are so many lovely items in his shop that are of excellent quality. I am planning to order more in the future.
