Visited in July of 2015: The food was very good - it was a little less flavorful than ideal, but not problematically so, and that's really not a problem for a $10 lunch. Presentation was beautiful (See photo of rice pyramid), and I received exactly the right amount of food. The service was fast and nice - we walked in with 11 people without calling ahead and nothing got messed up at all. We were out within the hour. The waitstaff was patient and friendly, and it was nice to see that there was no gratuity added on to our bill (of course we tipped appropriately). The restaurant was clean and decently lit, and had a somewhat crisp atmosphere. Although I don't often sit down for meals in Needham, I would definitely return to this place if I find myself able to spend the time again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at The Rice Barn!! I had the Pad-C-U which is my go to for thai food and it did not disappoint. The tofu was crispy and delicious, there were plenty of vegetables, and the noodles were perfect! I requested the dish medium as it it not typically made with any heat and it was the perfect level of spicyness for my liking. My friend and I had the spring rolls which were also delicious in addition to the Red Curry with tofu. The only reason they lost a star is due to the fact that they did not have the majority of their desserts the night we were there. We were eying the fried banana and ice cream but unfortunately they were out.

A cute little Thai spot in Needham, MA. Has a full liquor license. Entrees sat between 14-30 dollars, with most averaging around 18. I got the cashew chicken, which came with the pictured rice pyramid. Presentation was nice, food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed their meals. A bit dark in the bar area, but no complaints otherwise.

Unfortunately, there is no option to give zero stars. This place should be shut down. We had a 6:30pm reservation, but when we arrived they had no record of it. That should have been our first clue. Since the place wasn’t busy we easily got seated anyway. Then we had to ask for menus and wait 15 minutes to get them, and it was almost impossible to find out server to put in our order. About forty five minutes after ordering, all of us with empty water glasses, the wine and appetizers have yet to arrive, we decide to find our server (who we have not seen since ordering). She tells us she will check on our order and....nothing...2 hours after sitting down at our table we got up and left...one of several tables of customers to do so. It was a complete disaster. The people working there should not be in the...
