Dollar General — Local services in Nettleton

My experience at Dollar General has always been good. The clerks are very nice people. They try very hard to help. But as far as the store itself it could use a lot of improvements for example: the isles are full you can barely get 1 buggy down them. If you meet someone coming from the other way that person or yourself has to stop so the other one can get by. Then the other can go. Yes i know groceries are expensive but if you are buying groceries for a large family it is cheeper to drive 30 minutes away to Tupelo MS then buy at Nettleton. For a person like myself being on a fixed income buying meat, vegetables, milk, eggs the prices are very high for such small quantities. So if you just need like bread or soft drinks yes dollar general prices are ok for just a quick stop. Other than that it is better to drive to Tupelo. In my opinion Dollar General and Piggly Wiggly is too expensive. Its like they are not competing with each other they set a price and that is what you have to pay or...

I wouldn't even give them one star but I had to so I could post. This is by far the worse dollar general I've ever been to. You can't shop around because of the rolltainers all in the way and if you need help finding anything the chances of an employee knowing is slim to none. Some of the staff is friendly but you really never see them work. The cashiers are so slow its ridiculous. I worked at a dollar general for 5 years and not one time would you walk in my store and it look like this one in Nettleton does. Its like a game of hide and seek when you go in there. Cashier was exceptionally kind. I purchased water and it was horribly bitter. I will be returning it. Being new to the area I returned to pick up a couple items and lines were long. I asked the manager to assist her cashier she quickly displayed major attitude!!! NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS!! This store does not seem to be a DOLLAR GENERAL PRIORITY!!
