I am current LPN student with about a year left of the program. I have nothing but good things to say about this school. First I would like to address the instructors. Every instructor I have had so far has been both supportive and informative. They have taught me not only the material and skills needed to be a good nurse but how to properly learn in an adult education setting. The instructors are always available for extra help and willing to work with each student to assist in their future success. I would like to now address the administration. I have had nothing but positive experiences with the administration here at the New Britain campus. As the voted class rep I have been able to discuss class issues or concerns directly with the assistant director of nursing, the director and campus president. This has helped on numerous occasions to better understand things that are done and help create any needed change for future classes. I can honestly say I personally had an issue with clinical grading in my first MOD but it was immediately addressed and changed before I even entered second MOD. I believe that administration truly does care about the success of the students.
Lastly but probably most important I would like to address the many comments about how hard the work is. This program isn't easy but I know I don't want to be in the medical world with nurses that didn't have to work for their license. I can honestly say that if you put in the time, read the material, study the information you can successfully complete this program. I have always felt supported by the school as a whole when it comes to my academics. I have also gained the confidence to assist other students throughout the program with study help.

Read moreI am a proudly RMA student of Lincoln Technical Institute, New Britain Campus, I wanted to share my fabulous experience here! Since the first day I went there for a tour I meet kind people trying to help you. I was in a hard spot financially and was still doubting but Mrs. Carnavale help me during the process and convinved me that it was the right time. I assist it to the hybrid program; 4 1/2 hours 4 days a week and the online course completing tasks with enough time for you to combine with your work schedule, but the amazing thing is there's always a tutor available to help you if you need it. Teachers there are skilled and very passionate I had the luck to be with Mrs. B on most of my classes, she inspired me the passion for the profession we choose, she was always available to help if you need it and also she was always making sure that we understand and love everything we do and the importance of doing it right! since we have a big responsibility in our shoulders with our patients and our providers. Thank you for that Mrs. B; also I want to highlight the work that Career Services do; Lisa A.; you are awesome; we had Career Fairs, mock interviews with prospective providers, resume building workshops, work interviews preparation and the most amazing for me was they help you to find good places for our intership. I am in this last step now and I feel blessed since at the beginning Lisa was honest with me and said they don't have provides by my residence area and I wanted something close home; at the end she find it one for me; and is the best place I possibly dream of. I am very happy and It was not easy to get here but without their support I wouldn't be here neither completing a long time postponed goal. Thank you Lincoln Technical Institute, I now I mentioned just a couple names but they are part of an amazing team, and my gratitude is...
Read moreI started the HVAC program last year. At first it was a good experience, expectations were laid out and class was smooth, That lasted a month. Since then my class has been given 6 different instructors and of them all only one has truly cared for the students. If you are looking for a professional experience then I urge you to look somewhere else. Certain instructors will yell, throw equipment and belittle you while youâre trying to learn. We are offered little hands on time when you are told it would be 50/50 upon sign up. Instructors clearly act based on their emotions and will leverage the students grades if they are simply just upset. Random days you will be assigned a quiz grade based on attendance for the day with no way to make up the grade if you are absent. Students will be working and they will be punished with an unchangeable quiz grade. We have raised our concerns with the President of the campus but nothing was addressed. While I cannot speak for the other students in my class, As a veteran, this was truly an unprofessional experience and I cannot recommend this course to any other Veteran. The only Saving Grace this campus has is the wonderful women in...
