Really love this place. Dog friendly. Have a stamp card reward system. The coffee is DELICIOUS. My favorite orders are large mocha latte with light ice and an extra double shot. Or an iced brown sugar latte (brown sugar granules not the syrup) with light ice and an extra double shot. Both are good warm instead of iced too. The bakery items are also delicious (the croissants, chocolate chip cookie, pumpkin bread) I go to this place every Saturday as a reward for a long work week. I always look forward to it as part of my weekend....

We moved from Chicago to New Britain last year, Alvarium has been an important part of us settling in here. We work from home and always used to go to coffee shops to get out of the house. There aren't as many nearby but Alvarium is one of our go-to spots. The atmosphere there reminds me of some of the places we'd go in Chicago, which helps when I miss the city. Bourbon vanilla bean hot coffee and a maple syrup coffee with a pumpkin walnut muffin 🤤. Each coffee definitely has their own unique flavor notes along with their house made syrups. Couldn’t resist a chocolate chip cookie with sea salt 😯. The ambiance is very chill and aid back with access to the bar (when open) AND is dog friendly 🐶
