A Roland — Local services in New Cumberland

I was extremely unhappy with the service they provide. The staffs are very rude especially Ferna. I went there to get my hair done and left extremely unhappy with the outcome of my hair. The hairstylist only bleached 25% of my hair and charged me $180. I went in there thinking that my hair would be bleached entirely from top to bottom, but instead, she partially touched my hair. She left my entire roots as well as under my hair and the entire bottom half of my hair untouched.

I chose a color of what I wanted my hair to look like and when I left the salon my hair looked like the same color I came in with. When I saw the outcome of my hair I voiced my concerns to Courtney the hair dresser and told her I was unhappy with the all the black she left on my head. I pulled my hair up into a pony tail and all I can see is black. She did not touch 75% of my hair. Her response was, "do you put your hair in a pony tail a lot?" Like seriously? She literally did nothing to fix my hair and did not give me what she said she would deliver. She just let me sit in the chair for half an hour unhappy and said she will be at the checkout desk, and I can come whenever I am ready to check out. I do not know what salon let their customers leave unhappy. She had plenty enough time to fix my hair because I still had 2 hours left of my appointment time and she had no clients afterward.

The staffs at this salon do not care about providing good customer service or making their customers happy. They do not deliver what they said they would do. They only care about charging you a high price and then doing a poor job on your hair. I would not recommend this salon!!!!! I will be letting all of my friends know as well not to ever go...

I honestly don’t even know where to start. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this salon! The salon itself is absolutely adorable and very inviting. The atmosphere inside is bright and cozy. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel very at home. I was there to see Sarah, hoping she could work her magic on my hair color and she DID NOT DISAPPOINT! I walked in with pretty dark hair that had a few baby highlights and a good bit of regrowth. I was very bored with it and I’m very untrusting of most stylists in my immediate area (I drove an hour to A Roland Salon) because I’ve had many of them under deliver and compromise my hair in the past. It had been a long while since I had my hair done in salon prior to this visit, so Sarah had some work on her hands with me. One question I was asked during my consultation that really stood out was “when was the last time you loved your hair?” And I was honest in saying it’s been almost half my life since I loved my hair. I wanted a change that was still me but fun. I was born a ginger, and was looking for fun ginger/copper looks on Pinterest and found one I adored. I showed Sarah and was excited for the transformation! I left there completely obsessed with my hair! I’m still in love with it. That is the first time I have left a salon in love with my hair! I will absolutely be back! 🧡

A few weeks before I was scheduled to elope, the salon I booked to do my hair and makeup cancelled on me because none of the stylists ‘wanted to come in early.’ I called A Roland and the staff person who spoke with me was extremely kind and figured out when I could come in to have my hair and makeup done. I cannot recall who answered the phone as I was feeling overwhelmed trying to find services two weeks before the wedding, but they were very wonderful to work with. On the day of my wedding, Samantha did my hair and Priscilla did my makeup. Samantha and Priscilla worked together seamlessly and helped me to feel special on my big day. I was extremely happy with the services I received and I got a lot of compliments from the handful of guests who attended as well as my new husband. Both Samantha and Priscilla took the time to speak with me and asked questions to ensure they were providing me with the look I wanted.
