Right on the lake, I would say this is a quaint little spot for many an occasion. And to the Acme caterers credit - for whom the Club works in conjunction with- they were great. However, dealing with the Manager of the place - Joann Nonno, was not a pleasant experience at all. I booked a small wedding here (65 people) and it would have been an overall lovely experience if not for her. Clients beware. The smile is as phony as they come. Her disposition was passive/aggressive throughout. From my initial contact with her she tried to turn me away as opposed to getting my business. In having to keep in touch with her, she makes you feel as though you are inconveniencing her as you have to pull teeth to get the appropriate information in going forth with your planning. In meeting her the following day to clean up after our event she was barking, derogatory & looming, making us feel anxious & rushed. We followed procedures that we were told prior to the event, as well as offering to go above and beyond to help - she said everything was great but later she made sure our deposit was withheld which didn't make sense. We didn't do anything against or outside of the contract to warrant that. She claims a tablecloth had to be replaced as it was ruined from doublesided tape - tape that is specifically meant for fabric that I've used countless times with no problems. The President of the place was then no help at all due to the fact that Ms. Nonno told the Board she was lied to - which in fact, was the other way around as she told us everything looked great. I'm appalled and insulted to have spent so much money and then be treated with such disdain! I was very respectful throughout and took great care to be extremely diplomatic in presenting a situation that was unsatisfactory. I have worked in customer service and sales of high end boutique Hotels in NYC and Los Angeles, and after choosing a facility for a special occasion to then be dismissed without even so much of an apology after posing my disappointment to the President, Gill Maringer, was incredulous. He even said 'well, the place is not really meant for weddings, it's really just a dinner club'. So in that case, he should keep it as such and no advertising should be made for it otherwise and it should be retracted from the website. It's unfortunate that a place with such potential is run so poorly with complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction, but rather their own convenient agenda. Don't bother with this place. The aesthetics not worth the headache and you will regret ever having given them...
