Westville Quality Market — Local services in New Haven

This place is a staple of the neighborhood! Current ownership is very nice and friendly. They went out of their way to special order and keep in stock, some diet(sugar free) beverages for me because I am diabetic and couldn't enjoy the majority of their selection at the time. That's the type of service that brings customers back.

Super nice people. Always friendly and easy to get in and out. I mostly stop in here for beers, a newspaper, or random convenience store type things. You will pay a few extra bucks, but I like the idea of having a neighborhood corner store. Bringing back the deli , fresh food, and tightening up the inventory would be truly remarkable. On 3/21/24 I went to buy soup at the deli. The worker behind the counter looked at me three times, never acknowledged my presence or greeted me. She did however acknowledge and greet the non melanated gentlemen behind me. So I guess green money doesn’t work. I left - will NEVER return. Poor customer service doesn’t work...
