Another local Minnesota Comics and Game Store. if you ever find yourself in the area you should pop in and check them out for your comic books and table top games. #comics #games #minnesota #localcomicbookshop #mtg

Stopped by to check out Pokémon cards, to see if it would be a good place to bring my son. After I was greeted. The employee pulled aside her coworker and loudly stated that I was someone to watch as I took a photo of a item. I was so embarrassed. We will be looking elsewhere for our cards. Update: Adding some great photos of products I had been interested in. In response to your reply, I find it wrong you'd call chasing away customers to be good customer service. I suggest this as an opportunity to reevaluate your store's training policies. Additionally, given that this is 2023, if you don't want photographs taken inside your store of product people are interested in deciding on purchasing, you should consider investing in "No Photographs" signage.

Rockhopper is a lot of comics and games in a small space but they make good use of every piece of square footing. Staff were friendly and customers were comfortable and talkative.

This place has been my go to shop for almost 2 years. Even amongst the larger and more enfranchised game stores in the Twin Cities that I've visited, Rockhopper stands out as #1.

Prices are always competitive (the membership program is a no-brainer), their inventory is quite extensive, but what I'm most impressed with is how welcome I feel shopping and spending time in the store. The owner, Mikey, loves to share his knowledge and passion about the products and takes the time to connect with people in a way I've yet to encounter at any other store. Even when he's gone from the shop, I've found the other employees to be friendly and helpful.

What results from the above efforts at Rockhopper doesn't just make for a great customer experience, but it's helped cultivate the wonderful community of comic readers, game players, and hobby enthusiasts that spend time at the shop. Everyone I've jammed games of Magic with over the years at Rockhopper has been a delight to meet.

While the other game stores near the Twin Cities all have something unique to offer, to me Rockhopper remains the quintessential local game store. If you're in the area, I encourage you to check this place out! And if Rockhopper is not your closest LGS, it's well worth going out of your...

Rockhopper and their owner have been an amazing edition to the game, card, and comic scene. They genuinely care about their customers and community. I've been shopping there since they opened (even though I live south metro) Today a few my comic group admins and myself ( Minnesota Comic Exchange ) went in to Rockhopper to ask if they would donate to the basket we are building for the Minnesota Make A Wish Foundation silent auction. The owner said follow me and filled a box of brand new toys/books to contribute to the silent auction later this year. That really says it all, a shop and owner that care for the community they are in. Not to mention Mikey and staff will help you in your collection by keeping an eye out for items needed and if they can order it for you they will.

Thank you Rockhopper Comics & Games for all you do and provide for Minnesota and your...

Rockhopper Comics and Games has been easily my favorite comic shop to shop at since moving to the cities. I’d been out of reading comics for over a decade and instead of scoffing at me like the stereotypical comic book guy from The Simpsons, the owner personally walked me through some of his favorite titles and gave great recommendations. I’ve been shopping at Rockhopper for over year now and highly recommend it for the friendly great service and excellent selection of comics, toys, and games.

It’s also great place for kids. Mikey, the owner is always so sweet to my son when looking for his most favorite Pokémon cards and other toys. My son always asks to visit Rockhopper every weekend. Rockhopper also has a great selection in youth friendly comics. Highly recommend. Can’t recommend Rockhopper enough. I’m there every Wednesday and you should...
