MBM Fun Center Arcade — Local services in New London

We just celebrated my son's 7th birthday at the arcade and it was awesome! There are so many games to choose from and all of the 14 kids in attendance had a blast (so did some of the parents!). Our host, Lindsay, was wonderful and helped out with anything we needed. If a game ate a kid's token, she was right there to make it right. She also was very attentive to any malfunctioning games or issues. We were able to bring in our own food for the party which really made it an affordable option for a kid's birthday party. Huge shout out to this arcade for being a hidden gem in our area! It was a great nostalgic experience for the adults and the kids loved it too! Our party came with 25 tokens per kid, 50 tickets per kid and a goodie bag with various trinkets/toys per kid for $100 for 10 kids!!! Extra kids were $10 each and the family owned friendly staff was very flexible about making adjustments to the number of kids attending to adjust for last minute RSVP's (literally the day of the party-you guys rock!). "My favorite part about the arcade is that we got to spend time with our family and friends and we earned enough tickets for a cool prize"-birthday boy quote. Side note-apparently the birthday boy's Grandma is a ringer at arcade games and earned literally thousands of tickets! Everyone enjoyed themselves, no matter their age or skill level. Ocean Beach arcade is such a gem. We started bringing our sons every few months, and we always have a blast! So many arcades are all digital, but it’s so much more fun to use tokens and collect tickets at Ocean Beach. Maintaining so many machines is clearly a labor of love. Because many of the games are vintage, they sometimes have trouble, but Lindsay always goes above and beyond to help. She is great and so kind. My oldest son loves the arcade so much that he decided to celebrate his birthday there. It was an awesome birthday party. Lindsay had everything set up when we got there - tablecloths and little centerpieces on the table, goody bags and cups of tokens for the kids. All we had to do was show up and put out the food. The pricing was affordable, especially compared to other birthday options in the area. Lindsay was so friendly and patient, making sure all of the kids had a great time and making my son feel extra special on his birthday. We hope the arcade at Ocean Beach is around for many more...

Just a miserable adult child working there. Their games don’t work and she will give you a nasty attitude and slam your bills down on the counter if you ask for a refund. Clearly hates her life. Edit to respond to owner: WOW!! What a change in attitude!! If this was the original response instead of being rude and childish, slamming our money on the counter, and if you were willing to actually help with the game that we requested help with, I would have left a happy customer. We were not rude in the slightest bit until our refund was slammed down on the counter and you said “Here! You want it back?
