Director of daycare was very unprofessional. A few days prior to the start date for my child, I called because I had a few questions about the bill. Long story short, because I inquired about the bill, the director stated she felt she needed to give her opinion on what she thought I was thinking. She stated She felt I was hesitant and did not want to enroll my child there. Mind you, why would I fill out the registration packet, drop it off with a personal check in hand ready to pay two weeks prior. She came to her conclusion alI because I asked about the charges for my child, as it was my first bill and I wanted to comprehend the charges made. I don't think that is unreasonable. Then she continues to state "this is a business she is running and if I don't want my son to be enrolled there I need to let her know." Once again, I said nothing to indicate I was confused or did not want my child enrolled. I am glad she was as open as she was prior to my child going there. She stated she worked as a preschool teacher for 13 years; unfortunately some people are not meant to be leaders, directors and such. At the end of the conversation, shocked and appalled, I informed her that I would like to know the cancellation policy. After conversation with my husband about the directors behavior, I cancelled. Imagine if I had my child going there and something happened, my concern is how would the director react if she could even handle a simple inquiry about a bill. Anyway, it all worked out in the end,...
Read moreThe woman who works the front desk during the weekday morning shift continues to be rude each time we see her. I tried bringing my son to play basketball twice during her shift, and she immediately tries to turn us away. She doesnt offer to tell us what time we can come use the facility, just that we cant and should leave. I then ask her to review the schedule and let me know anytime that works and she proceeds to first say she doesnt know, that I should call later, but then says she is the acting manager. There are 2 basketball gyms and even when one isnt being used she will make up a reason why we cannot use it (first she said it was child safety because of the kids in the daycare and then the second time she claimed its due to covid even though masks aren’t required). The rest of the staff at the front desk during other shifts tend to be courteous and professional but this specific woman doesnt even feel the need to greet you. Seems like she does not understand the meaning of...
Read moreSo to update--the gym is unbearably hot in the summer. When leaving, my children sometimes note that it’s actually cooler outside than in the gym. It’s hot and humid and probably not a good idea health wise to workout or play in the actual gym/basketball courts. During the summer it’s most likely going to be 80 degrees or hotter in there most days with no circulating air! Probably better to find a facility or ymca in the area with an air conditioned gym.
Okay facility for a reasonable rate. Nice pool and fitness center. Staff is always helpful. However the actual main gym lacks air conditioning and the floor needs refinishing. Not ideal for basketball, volleyball or anything else. When it’s hot outside it’s hot in the gym as well. Unbearably so.
To reply to the response from the YMCA I did tell a staff member it was unbearably hot and ask if there would be a repair to the cooling system and I was told after he went to speak with other staff that it would be...
