We were looking to upgrade our inefficient Central AC in our 2 story which would not cool both floors evenly. Jim Horton from Bay Area identified several design issues with the old unit install. He drafted plans for the new AC system utilizing correct duct size/layout and zoning. A true overhaul of our central air.
On the day of install, Malcom (project lead) and his team arrived on time and ready for work. Our installation presented unique challenges for the technicians. All new lines had to be run from the 2nd story attic and underneath the slab and to the outdoor unit. In addition, all attic ductwork had to be reworked and on a very hot day. Malcom is a very hardworking individual with vast knowledge and experience in his field. Under his direction, his team was able to overcome all the forementioned obstacles. In addition, the entire team was courteous and professional throughout the process.
I would also like to recognize Lori who handled job coordination and communication throughout the project. She was very prompt in addressing any concerns that I had.
Lastly: post-sales support is a true measure of a company’s overall values and commitment to customer satisfaction. Bay Area’s has already manifested their willingness to stand behind their product and installation. When our system required some post install adjustments, they were quick to dispatch a technician. Rob checked the entire system, ensured that it was operating efficiently and made necessary modifications to the thermostat.

Read moreI bought my house a about a year ago and recently I thought that the AC works a little bit harder than I expected it. During the day it never shuts off and the temperature it 2° warmer than what I set it on. Figuring there was something wrong I called Bay area air conditioning. They told me it would be $69 for a diagnostic check and if repairs needed to be done that that amount would be applied towards the repair and there would be no service fee. When I made the appointment for the following day I requested that they would call me and give me a heads up they were on their way because I have 3 kids that go to 3 different schools and wanted to make sure I was home at that time. The technician Called me just as requested. Jeff was very polite and professional. After looking at everything he informed us that the AC was working in perfect condition and it was the right size for the house. He informed my husband and I that the air conditionings in Florida sometimes have a hard time keeping up with the heat. We had a bunch of questions and he answered every single one of them. I was expecting for the technician to tell me I had things wrong and tried to sell me things I did not need but he did none of that. I did end up scheduling another appointment, this time for a yearly maintenance since we lived here over a year and haven't had the AC looked at. He also cleaned up after after each process and explained the next step. Kevin was our tech for our previous tune up so it was good to see him. He was just as professional as Paul, our original tech. He checked out our heat as well; it's chilly right now. It seems we need a new board but with an older unit, he was honest about not wasting the money. (We ARE in Florida after all) We highly recommend this company and this tech! No false advertising, no pushy sales people, and no one trying to sell something you don't need. Refreshing.

We have an older system and we were worried it needed replacing despite no real issues but air flow. It is difficult to find a reputable company that services R22 systems parts/service. So happy we found Bay Area AC! The great news is that the system is in good condition, no leaks, no large repair or replace bill!
