Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Port Richey

I had a pretty terrible experience with this place recently. I order from them semi regularly. I order off the app. When I did that last I got my estimated order time and then no updates for almost an hour. After that hour I got a text saying my order was going to be delivered by DoorDash in another half hour. Then the tracker showed the dasher “on the way”. For context, I live 5 minutes from this place. The dasher arrives and my husband answers to get the pizza and the dasher demands payment. My husband hesitates and says I always pay on the phone but he yells out for me to come to the door. The dasher pulls the pizza away and says he has to collect payment as soon as I get to the door. I tell him I paid via Apple Pay and ordered through the app as always. He tells me that can’t be so because he doesn’t work work for Pizza Hut, he works for DoorDash. I say I can call and confirm and he says my payment didn’t go through so I have to pay. When I call Pizza Hut the Pizza Hut worker pulls it up and can see immediately that it was paid for. He hands over my now very cold food and leaves without a word.

So. I had a 50 dollar order delivered an hour after my estimated delivery time. The food was room temperature. The delivery person attempted to steal 50 dollars from us. And to top it off one of the pizzas had the wrong topping. That’s the first and only time I have had such a horrible experience but it left a REALLY...

If I could give negative stars I would. This place is an absolute joke! I used to love Pizza Hut for the BBQ brisket pizza! I placed an order for pick up on my way home from the beach. I noticed I didn’t get an option for Bbq brisket on the deal I selected. I don’t mind paying more for it. I called the store, spoke with a staff member who wasn’t very friendly. She placed me on hold and then told me her supervisor said to cancel my order and reorder it. I still won’t have that option. I attempted to, however you cannot cancel the order either! I called the store back to be sent to a call center, this went on for about 25 minutes! I finally show up at the store for Sabrina to inform my husband that they turned the phones off and were no longer taking calls at 9:30PM! I was going to just have the bbq beef added to said pizza but with the complete rudeness of the staff, and the way the entire order was handled, I left empty handed. Sabrina also informed us that it was due to improperly ordering. I don’t disagree but if there isn’t an option on the app 🤷🏻‍♀️ I attempted to correct it by phone and in person but that never happened.

Might I suggest going to Papa John’s from now on? At least they are friendlier and know how to...

Im editing my rating of this Pizza Hut. It has went absolutely down hill - the food is always mediocre now, not the "hot, fresh, tasty" standard. Everytime ive ordered for pick up I have to wait 10 minutes in the lobby while the staff chats and goofs around in the back before they even realize im standing there. This last time was it for me...I called up to inquire about an order I had just placed and I didnt get 2 sentences in before I was hung up on by the girl on the phone. Im typically one for holding my tongue, but let me tell you I grabbed up those keys so quick and sped up there and was going to give them my 2 cents on the disrespect and rudeness...but once again I stood up there for 10 minutes before they realized I was there...and when she asked if I was placing an order or picking up I told her im the one she rudely hung up the phone on she looked down went and grabbed my order (which was cold and definitely not "Tavern" style. I will never go back to this Pizza Hut - mark my words. Id suggest you not waste your time either you can get Pizza Hut up the road on SR-52 and Little Rd WITH FAR SUPERIOR SERVICE.
