I came to Jenny with an idea and she and her team took it and made it an even better reality. I had a concept for an engagement ring for my now wife but here’s where it gets unique. Aside from them producing the design and then custom making the perfect ring, they are probably the only store with the integrity and dedication to the craft to do what they did in the process. I thought I knew the size of diamond that I wanted and I “had it all figured out”. With her keen eye and judgement recommended a SMALLER diamond (sacrificing some profit I’m sure) because it would fit her finger much better and lend itself to the look I wanted better as well. She then mocked it up with a couple options and showed me what she was talking about and boy was she right. I would’ve ruined the look of the beautiful ring if it wasn’t for her. Needless to say the ring is absolutely gorgeous, perfect and my wife gets the “oh my gosh girl your ring is gorgeous” all the time. Nobody could’ve done it better. They kept me informed along the way except for the final result which they made me wait for (but sent me nebulous pictures to keep me in suspense…I was dying inside to see it)! When it finally came in the mail and I opened it, it was clearly the perfect ring for my most beautiful and perfect wife! Jenny and team have since made several amazing pieces for us including my wedding band and some custom jewelry out of some family heirloom pieces that she melted down and turned into awesome new creations that can be worn and carried on through the family. Marquardt Jewelers (Jenny) was FANTASTIC to work with in designing my heirloom ring. The ring included gold from my great-grandmother’s mother’s ring, my grandmother’s engagement ring with diamond and my mom’s original engagement ring with diamond. I bought a ring off of eBay that I was hoping we could alter to fit what I wanted it to look like, but making a custom ring was required. I plugged a picture of the eBay ring into ChatGPT and brought it in and told Jenny I wanted it to look like that. I was not completely satisfied with our first round. Although ChatGPT is great at giving examples of a restyle, the dimensions/scaling aren’t always going to be accurate!! Kind of like when you plug a picture of a person in, and it shows them with 6 fingers!! 🤣, but Jenny exhaustively worked with me to get it just right the second time around after multiple questions and quick pop-ins to the store to double-check the look. And she was so kind about it even though I’m sure she felt at times I was a pain in the butt. Though she never acted like she did!! She just kept saying that she wanted me to get exactly what I wanted, and I’ve got it!!! My entire ring is made from gold from 4 generations, including myself, as some white gold was used from a pendent that my husband gave me after the birth of my oldest that I no longer wore. My husband and I had Marquardt Jewelers make both of our rings and could not have had better service or outcomes!! Both were custom designs we worked with them to create. They showed great patience, attention to detail, expert advice and design consultation throughout the entire process. My ring is a dream come true! It is unique and so beautiful. My husband’s ring utilized 3 of my late mother’s diamonds so it was especially special to us. Marquardt took extra care in the process even though we didn’t buy the diamonds through them. It was really a fantastic experience and I highly recommend them!! I also used them to turn my late mother’s wedding ring into a ring for my right hand. Jenny had extra metal left over in the process and designed a unique necklace too that has become one I wear nearly every single day.
