Doyle's Farm & Home Ace — Local services in New Richmond

Always have a good experience here and never think to leave a review. They often times have what I need and although it’s a bit more expensive than big box stores, it’s also right in town and saves me time and fuel to drive elsewhere. Staff have always been very helpful and friendly when I’ve gone in and today in particular I asked if I could return some unused Grade 8 hardware. Josh S was working customer service counter and was able to lookup the receipt as I still had all the information including individual prices for the hardware saved (and somehow I couldn’t keep track of the receipt, go figure!). Josh had no problem putting in the effort to locate the receipt and upon manager approval proceed with the return. As I told Josh on my way out customer service goes a long way! It’s one of the many reasons I come back and shop local when they have or can get what I need! I have also special ordered some things in the past that they were able to have shipped to the store in a speedy time frame! Thanks for the hard work you guys do to provide a store that can serve so many needs and yet have a fantastic staff...

I usually enjoy Doyle’s, but today I was extremely disappointed and frustrated. I asked a clerk for assistance with the fish, and I could see that she was running a water test, so I let her know that I could wait until she completed it. A couple approached her and she assisted them and returned to her initial task. After completing her test, she cleaned up the area, in no rush to assist me at all. Then, another couple asked for her assistance with an aquarium. Instead of explaining to them that I was in line first, she proceeded to help them! After waiting for 20 minutes, I left without making a fish purchase. I left feeling angry and put-out. I’ll get over it, but it’ll take some time. Perhaps Doyle’s needs to provide some training for their employees on customer service. A little common sense from that clerk would have served...

Love this place for several reasons. Number one, it's close to home. Second the service is awesome, the Doyles and their staff are extremely helpful. I recently visited two of the big box stores to find parts for a plumbing project I was working on and couldn't find the all of the supplies at either of them. Turns out Doyle's had everything I needed, and my associate didn't leave my side til I had everthing I needed. Thats old school service right there. You might pay a little more, but the convenience more than makes up for it. You know what they say, time is money. They also have great sales on tools, and with your ace card you regularly get discount cards in the mail. I use them oftentimes. That's all I got....
