Unfortunately I was very disappointed. They are not at all considerate of disabled customers. Upon arrival you have to go through the roped maze. And they have each customer purchase their movie ticket & snacks all at the same time. So it is that much longer that a disabled person is having to wait to get through the roped area with nothing to lean on even to help ease the physical pain. I will give the cashier great credit because once I purchased my ticket, drink & got the popcorn she very nicely assisted me with carrying them to my seat. Sadly though the physical pain was to continue because, Even though the movie I chose to see was very close to the payment area it was still far away to get to a seat that would be comfortable. Upon going in the door for the movie I found I had to go almost all the way down to the front & then up several steps to get to a seat that would work for me. I questioned the employee & she stated all of the movie areas are set up the same way now. When a person has a walking disability & on oxygen it is hard. But "most" of us that are a little older can "not" sit in those seats in the front!! We have to sit in the seats that are higher up. That is a proven fact just in the movie I went to yesterday. Most of us in the theater for the movie "Overcomer" (Wonderful movie!!) Was of an little older age & all but 1 person was sitting in the upper seats. So with the fact that this place has not considered the older or disabled I do not foresee me going here again!! From what I'm told the movie theater in Port Orange is very considerate of their older & disabled customers. So when I go to see the movie I want to see next week I will check out that movie theater. I was warned the movie ticket is more money at the Port Orange theater. If it is a choice of having to pay $8.00 and having easier access to a movie then I will pay the $8.00 or go on a Sunday or Tue when they only charge $5.00 eithier way easier excess to see a movie means less physical pain & that it definitely worth the extra money. I'm praying that New Symrna theater will rethink their theater design & make access for disabled & elderly customers easier. Just because we are older or disabled does not mean we stopped enjoying going to the movies!! P.S. You could save some money with not running the...
Read moreHad a nice time watching the newest Guardians of the Galaxy with my Wonderfully Beautiful Wife on Wednesday the 7th of June 2023. Had some snacks and drinks as is customary when watching movies at a theater 👍 I can't give half star's to add to the 4 star rating I gave to make 4.5 ⭐✨ but that's what I want to give and mostly because of the manager (Shannon & ( Savannah H. Who deserve 5 ⭐✨ for their exemplary Cust. Service skills and just really Being So totally awesome, while helping us get through the process so smoothly and easily, with our tickets and snacks, right down to being so friendly and kind, and answering all our questions, and helping us with our merchandise purchases as well.
These two exceptionally wonderful humans helped make our experience at this particular theater a delight, and I would have loved to give a full 5 Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating because of them, except for the A/C not seemingly working in theater 12 that day and we got but up by some sneaky mosquito that snuck her way into that theater. I don't know if it but anyone else in there that day, tbh I think it liked the 5 Star meal it was getting from my wife and I 😅 but if not for the heat and mosquito 🦟 we'd surely give this AMC theater a full 5 ⭐ rating, so even though I can only give 4 ⭐✨ we think Google reviews should allow for half star's, and maybe even 1/4 and 3/4 ✨ to be added for proper ratings so we could give a 4.5 ⭐ rating, and we're going back to see the new Transformers movie tonight so 🤞 hopefully the A/C is working and that mosquito is long gone and didn't call her girlfriends to the buffet 😆. Thank you AMC for hiring such wonderful humans to work at an all time favorite place for people to enjoy their time away from home. 2👍👍 to add to the 4.5 ⭐✨ and if the A/C is fixed and no mosquitos attack, we'll surely be grateful and bump that rating right up to 5⭐✨ we're looking forward to tonight and watching Transformers and adding another collectable to our repertoire of collectibles. Hopefully there's at least one with our...
Read morethe employees are very nice here. The one employee, ( a guy) checking people in SMELLED TO HIGH HEAVEN LIKE BODY ODOR!!! THE CHAIRS ARE HORRIBLE!!! are these lounging chairs or stadium chairs? Whatever they are, they are terrible! They are too big and clumsy. The lumbar and neck rests are too big and push into the neck and lower back!!! It hurts to sit on them or lay back on them. Your feet cant reach the floor. You cant try to sit sideways or on your side. They are huge and there is way too much room taken up by one seat and you are sitting way too far away on your own. So you cant even hold hands or put your arm around a loved one in the next seat!! IT IS AWFUL! THE CHAIRS ARE MADE OF CHEAP POLY VINYL SO EVEN LOOK BAD, THEY ARE POORLY DESIGNED FOR COMFORT. ESPECIALLY IF YOU SHORT OR A CHILD. WHOEVER DECIDED TO PUT THESE IN HERE MADE A BIG MISTAKE!! THIS DOESNT EVEN LOOK LIKE A MOVIE THEATER. IT LOOKs MORE LIKE THE SCENE FROM WALL E the movie when everyone is laying down in big fat chairs and cant move and the people keep getting fatter and fatter laying there. and being fed THESE CHAIRS SHOULD NOT BE IN A MOVIE THEATER! TAKE THEM OUT AND PUT BACK NICE MATERIAL CHAIRS WITH LOWER BACKS like the ones in REgal Port Orange. They are so nice and supportive yet comfortable stylish made of nice material, they rock and push back and arent too high on the back. they look like movie theatre seats and we can sit close and put our arm around our loved one. Now that is a movie seat! The others should be thrown in...
