Drivers write bad reviews here, I delivered today at Nebraskaland. I don't understand why, this people work hard and smart, they start early around 1 am to load and prepare local trucks for deliveries then around 9 or 10 am they start to work on over the road trucks. They use 4 hours or kind of to unload us because they use the grace period system. Usually a truck should be loaded/ unloaded in 2 hours but some shippers, receivers and even some carriers use the other 2 hours extra of grace period, if you drivers start to learn this everything will make more sense specially at frozen food places where orders usually have more than one PO and orders to check by pallets, I think is great because by the time they start calling OTR to assign docks then there's plenty of space to maneuver because most locals are running their route which I think is a blessing given the fact that NY Market runs so fast and isn't that big. There's a fee of 30 dollars for parking valid for 24 hours up to the moment we pay, there's also a restaurant but I owe you the schedule I don't remember it😉 drivers be kind to warehouse workers please. Company drivers and Owner Operators our own bad financial habits, dispatchers and ignorance are killing us not freight brokers. Thank you for reading this, I really hope...
Read moreI would give this place zero stars if it was possible. If you dont plan on doing other stops and have time to waste then this is the place to go to! Hurry up and wait. I had a 9am appt. I arrived at 830. Didnt get into a door until 10am. 2.5 hrs later I go in to check to see if they even started on my trailer and the dock worker gave me a hard time As why they haven't unloaded it yet. Slowest place I've ever been to. I've worked on docks before perusing this truck driving career. Unloading trucks takes 10 min (full trucks) "they only have to unload 10 pallets." then 20 to 30 min to count and label. This place needs new management, dockworkers that actually work instead of standing around and bullsh*tting most...
Read moreCheck in at 5 when they open, got call with door around 6 and paperwork by 830ish. Gwb to 87 south. Exit 1 and there is actually good signage for the hunts point market. However in bruckner blvd underneath the highway the sign wanted me to veer right but that section of road was closed so i took the next crossover to the service road at a traffic light (kinda tight) and then made a right onto longwood then a slight right on tiffany left onto oak point and slight right onto hunts point ave. At the end of hunts point ave continue straightish onto hallack and make a left onto food center dr. Costs 25$ to get in but they do take card. Plenty of parking overnight is fine...
