I wish I would have taken photos today but was so taken aback & covered in mud! I understand things happen & the cemetery cannot control the weather I do find it completely unacceptable that my grandparents graves were a literal swamp this afternoon. My family & I visited today to leave flowers for spring & when I tried to walk up to their stone I literally sank into the ground ankle deep in water & mud. We cannot put palms for palm Sunday because the ground is so saturated. We have complained multiple times about the goose poop all over. Yes, something they cannot control but with such an issue there should be a better effort to clean it up. We went to the office today to express our concerns & were told âthey know you love them even if you canât leave anythingâ âyou canât come to the cemetery a day after it rainsâ âthe whole cemetery is floodedâ (not true we walked the entire cemetery). The office continually disregards our concern. Its terrible. This is the resting place of peoples loved ones, children, mothers, fathers, siblings, cousins, friends ETC. With the amount of business this cemetery makes they should have figured out a filtration & drainage system by now. It disturbs me deeply that my grandparents are buried here & even more so that a business that handles such delicate matters like death & grieving loved ones could be so cold, careless, & not even have the decency to apologize.
P.S. My thoughts & prayers are with the family burying their loved one this afternoon who I saw ankle deep in water & mud on some half rigged metal planks. I am sorry for your loss & that today had to be so messy on top of...
Read moreIt's been only seven months since we buried our mom. Today, my sister visited to find the grass and soil in front of our mom's monument all torn up and the precious items that our dad left, only a few days ago, were thrown around and under dirt. It looked as if they dug up her grave! This was so horribly upsetting and heartbreaking. Of course, we called. The cold response was basically, our guys are busy with so many burials, we had to bury someone else next to her, we're very busy, etc.. No accountability and NO APOLOGY for such blatant disrespect to our mom's final resting place. It only takes a minute to move a few items to the side. And, if you see anything there, like fresh flowers and some gifts, it means that a grieving family is visiting! How about a phone call to that family giving them a heads up? How about some compassion? And, when the family calls, shaken and upset, how about owning the horrible way that Resurrection and the very busy burial team treated her site and broke our hearts? Never got one simple apology...
Read moreAlthough I appreciate having loved ones buried at Resurrection Cemetery. I myself and my husband will one day be in the Wall Vault when our time comes. We chose Resurrection for family because we are all Roman Catholics. But today, on such a very hot Summer's day there was no air condition in the whole mausoleum. This has been like this a few days in such hot heat. How can an older person stay in this place visiting a loved family member that has passed on? You couldn't even stay in there and say a prayer for even a minute without wanting to pass out! It was so hot in there, grandma thought she would be joining grandpa! This cemetery is not a cheap place, and it is well kept as it should be. Too bad we had to leave so quickly because of the hot Summer's heat in that mausoleum. Sorry, grandpa, we will have to come again another day and hope the air condition is fixed...
