My husband and I visited the furniture part of the store today with a letter from the fire department stating that we had a fire in Oct of last year. We were asking if they could donate sone dining room chairs. We were treated very poorly. The gentlemen and lady there proceeded to tell us that basically they couldnt or wouldn't help us unless the red cross called them. Even thou we had the letter from the fire department. They said that people come in who have had a fire and ecpect ti be given ths top of the line merchandise. We said no such thing. And we did not expect that. We did not expect them to seperate the chaurs from a table set either, which they made clear they would not do. We barely said anything because of the Insinuations that were being made. They were not going to offer us anything but then finally decided to offer us 2 small chairs. Which would have been fine but my husband and I are not small people.. I was basically in tears when I left. I thought the lookup center was there to help people. I understand that they must need to make a profit. But the things are donated, i assume. And even thou i did not ecpect the top of the line merchandise, why wouldn't a family who has lost most everything in a fire be given the top of the merchandise? I use to shop the store quite frequently, before the fire. Now that we are finally getting our home repaired and moving back in, i will continue to shop the store. I realize that you rely on volunteers and until today they have always been nice. But i would think you would train them to treat people with the dignity they deserve. Its hard enoigh to ask for help, without being...

So many other second Sand stores at this time price things as if they were brand new and that's not fair. These items are donated in the price should reflect that and this is one of the few...
