Food Smart — Local services in Newport

I informed the cashier I needed to take my $298 of food I was paying for to my room beside their store but shr refused to loan me her cart or help. I got my stuff home but 2 ice cream cakes were melted and my arm injured by the time I was managed to get my things home I paid someone to go next door and get a cart from where I live and bring it to the lot and then I put my stuff in it it was a small car so I had to tie things all around the sides and by the time I got it all done the car flipped upside down and it did it twice I went inside I was angry and I asked for the manager and I told them I wanted my money back the manager walked outside he said it was the first time he had heard of it that I needed help that anyone knew that I asked for it and I told him I beg to differ I told you cashier right there I need it she refused me he said nobody can leave the parking lot and I said well then why didn't you tell me that I couldn't even bring the car back from the edge of the parking lot I got as far as I could wanting to walk the rest of the groceries and when I tried to bring it back when it locked up on me it wouldn't moveI didn't want anybody stealing my stuff so I didn't want to leave it on the edge of the parking lot but I did run into the store and let them know but he came out and he loaded the car back up or actually that you know the little cart and it flipped over again just as it isn't he didn't even come back and help me then by the time I got home and it flipped over twice more and I got my stuff in the house cuz someone else spotted it the second time she want to live next door to help me carry it in but by the time I got to it I had two melted ice cream cakes I didn't get to eat and jar broken fruit and something else anyway I have the receipts I didn't get to go over there today because I had to look for a place to live but I'm going tomorrow and I will see if they will refund me those things that I've lost I mean the ice cream cake is still in the box as of now I will never spend that much in that story again if I had transportation I would have never even buy a soda in there cuz people are relaxed and they won't help you do nothing they treated me like I was second hand or something because I am severely disabled I can barey walk but they treated me like trash who just walked in and asked for help and has nothing to...

Not the lowest prices, maybe perhaps some items, but not the majority. The employees are not that friendly, well at least not most of the cashiers. I understand people have their bad days but when it's almost everyday, or at least every time I go. Also I notice a lot of garbage or people like to leave opened half drunk sodas and sometimes food laying about on shelves or boxes. Oh I can't forget that I do not purchase a lot of frozen items there either. It seems as if maybe they keep the frozen products out on the floor to long before stocking it into the frozen floor case and they defrost and then get frozen again because the frozen food has almost always been freezer burnt and tastes nasty.... Been going to this store my whole life. I like some of the changes made since they became Food Smart But i am glad they kept some of the things from the original store like the "Chopper Whoppers." Update 7-27-22 The garden stuff at the front on the outside is kind of a hazard because while in a vehicle you cannot see people coming out of the store. Also, the new locks on the carts are really inconvenient if you park in the parking spot closet to fortune Inn. It locked up and I was trying to put my groceries in the passenger side of my truck.
