LoVerde Recreation Center — Local services in Niles Township

Great sports facility that is beyond well cared for with excellent volunteers and staff. The indoor soccer field is beautiful and well netted around. It does get quite a bit of the pellets in your shoes though and could use a cleaning. Tons of bathroom stalls for all the athletes and clean conditions in there. The baseball court is also well cared for. We don't use vending machine so I cannot comment on that. There is a great amount of space to sit and watch all the games and even a jungle gym space and party room for younger kids. The center really did a great job with this built but missed out on parking. For the amount this facility can hold; there is not enough parking spaces, however you can park next door at the warehouses parking lot. Niles Parl District programs are coordinated here and they are very well organized and managed. The soccer programs are the best, families from all neighboring communities even as far as Glenview and Highland Park drive to participate in Niles Park District league because their Park Distrct has dropped the ball on their program. Me and my friends came here expecting to play soccer while it was open gym until 4 PM. We arrived there at about 1:15 only to figure out that a group of Varsity 17 years olds were in the soccer field, making it very crowded and unsuitable for us to play. We needed to go to the basketball court instead which I was deeply disappointed about. They then didn’t want anyone to go into the soccer field because they knew it would be a bad experience for them. The facilty is super clean (including the bathrooms), staff is friendly and there are different sports, activities and events to do. Just double make sure to check what session the staff is signing your child up for. It happened twice that they signed my child up for the wrong thing.
