I am a retired 20+ year Firefighter/Paramedic who spent a lot of years assigned to the firehouse on Crescent Beach where we housed a significant component of our ever-growing Marine Rescue assets.
Having grown up a conspicuously non-buoyant resident of a rather large peninsula, taking measures to ensure my daughter’s safety in water has been very high on my to-do list since she was barely into her second trimester of gestation. We plan ahead in my family.
Aqua~fin Swim School came HIGHLY recommended by family and friends, some of whom are career Marine Rescue personnel and experienced seasonal Ocean Rescue Lifeguards.
They were NOT kidding. This has been, without a doubt, the single best block of instruction my daughter has ever experienced in any endeavor. By her second lesson, she has already advanced to “Level III”, which was definitely not anywhere on our radar.
Her confidence and competence in the water has increased by several orders of magnitude and as a result, we have noted a significant improvement in her normal “little kid” anxieties and worries and her day to day focus has improved markedly.
As extracurricular activists are concerned, activities that are fun are typically given precedence. Any undertaking that can meld fun and learning is a bonus, and adding safety to the mix is about as good as it gets.
If you have a child that wants or needs to learn basic water safety or you simply want to take proactive measures to improve their confidence in an aquatic environment, I can recommend Aqua~fin Swim School without...
Read moreI cannot say enough great things about Aquafin- St. Augustine. Our family is on the water often and my son cannot seem to get enough of the water. He is three years old so it was time to teach him how to be safe in and near the water. We chose Aquafin Swim School- St. Augustine mainly because of the location and their class availability worked out perfectly with our schedule. My son has THRIVED at Aquafin Swim School. When you first walk in, you're greeted with the friendliest staff who actually take the time to get to know your child and their needs. The waiting room is clean and spacious with plenty of dressing rooms and restrooms- which is great if you're in a hurry. At first, we started with private classes, which were wonderful, but we switched to the group classes, twice a week because we noticed he enjoyed interacting with other kids his age while conquering the task. What. A. Difference. My son is more confident in the water, and his progress has improved leaps and bounds. He still gets that one on one feel while getting more classes at a great price. I am so excited to watch him improve his skills as he gets older. I highly encourage you to register your little one for the free class and give it a shot. You...
Read morePlease Please Please Read their policies and understand each and every DETAILS - bcz it is not just in and out membership AQUAFIN hold your credit card and if you did not drop request (that you have to do it from your computer) EXACTLY 30 days prior to finishing your membership, you will definitely get charged for additional days from 30days from your drop request form is received. Mix way of communication by this I mean some functions only can be performed from your computer and some of them are only be performed from APP - from my view app is very confusing to navigate. Some things eg. make up tokens - you have to go to your location personally and request them to add in your account ??????? means workflow during your membership is very confusing. It is not smooth as everything is different and shattered everywhere. Otherwise instructors, learning and cleanliness is TOP NOTCH. 5 STARS...
