I'm not sure how to leave zero stars, but that needs to be an option. This review is a follow up to the one posted a few weeks ago about delivering a dead appliance to our home and completely botching the response. After a lot of phone calls and complaining, BSI finally agreed to replace our appliances. We selected new ones and we were told they would be delivered on July 16th first thing in the morning. We waited all day. No show, no call. I called around 1pm and had to leave a message for the "appliance delivery scheduler", who neglected to return my call. We called the BSI sales rep, who was completely useless. He could only say "Well, they could show up as late as 6 or 7pm". They finally called us at 5:30pm and showed up at 6:30pm. They had no microwave. They told us "The microwave is back ordered until July 15th". Uh...that was yesterday?!?! They had no response. I called on July 19th and finally spoke to someone named "Andy". He said that the microwave came to their warehouse the afternoon of July 16th, after the delivery drivers had left. Why they didn't tell us this is baffling. They agreed to deliver it on July 20th. It was delivered...and it's damaged. Nobody at the warehouse bothered to inspect it. Now we've got a damaged microwave and have to deal with BSI all over again.
They are an absolute and utter CLOWN SHOW. I have reached out to the home builder and will pressure them very hard to change their supplier. I am also reaching out to another home builder contact I have to ensure they don't use BSI.
We have filed a complaint with the BBB and will follow up on that end as well.

Read moreI went through Costco and used this company to install a new garage door in February 2022. In August 2022, we attempted to open the garage one early morning and it fell off the track. They came out later that day and repaired it. I wasn't home and they didnt leave a ticket or any notes. A few days later I called back to let them know that I was still insecure about the door and that it seemed to be making a weird noise. The employee assured me that the door was safe and finally I started using the door again. Finally last week, I looked at the metal bar I realised that the metal pieces don't align and therefore every time the rollers get to the bend, part of the metal roller is shaved off. I contacted the company with the above information. They told me to call Ken, the Costco sales rep. for the company and gave me a non working number for him. I found a good number for him. I told him the above issue and he assured me that he would put a ticket in and have someone call me to set up an appointment. It has been more than 10 days and no one has called me. I suspect they are waiting for my one year warranty to lapse. I haven't even mentioned the poor customer service that I received on the front end. Read moreMy father purchase a garage door “ Lift Master” from Builder Specialities (BSI) end of January and it was installed sometime around the end of Janurary or beginning of Feburary. A couple weeks later the garage door began to malfunction. For instance the chain was popping and the garage door began jerking halfway open and close. BSI sent a repairman out who was able fix the garage door. About two weeks after the repair the garage door started to not open or close fully. So the repairman came out again and did a second diagnostic and it was determined that problem is the keypad and that installing a new part would get the garage door to work. Now with the new part installed the garage door still did not work. So the repairman call and told Lift Master that the installation of the new part did not fix the garage door and that he did not know why. So he speculated that the reason behind the garage door not working properly is due to the owner tampering with the equipment. But the repairman never check the garage door to see if the personal adjustments made was the cause of the malfunction. As a result of the repairman statement, BSI fail to honor their warranty by refusing to fixing my garage door. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. NO STARS
