This Piggly Wiggly, located in Norfolk VA on Princess Anne road is a hidden gem of Norfolk. I'll first and foremost say, that their hot served foods are wonderful, delicious and served as well as prepared for by friendly, warm-welcoming and fast individuals, many of which would remind you of either your southern grandmother/aunt or that neighbor that became part of the family. The hot breakfast items by far is the best and you will surely see a long line (which is worth the wait) Breakfast 7:00am-10:30am (or whenever the food runs out) Lunch/Dinner 11:00am-7:00pm (or whenever food runs out)

As for the store itself, I tend to only purchase very small items seeing as I most normally eat and live a healthy lifestyle. They have single serve and gallon teas (sweet, unsweet & sweet w/ lemon) that are very cheap, chips and healthy snacks that are far cheaper than your chain grocers. Peanut butter and nuts are reasonably priced and 24pk of bottled waters tend to be $2.99 or $3.99 or a gallon for $0.89.

Their packaged sausages tend to always be fresh and are either cheap or slightly below competitor prices. This is the only place I can find "Drake's Duck Sausages" (if you haven't ever had this sausage... You need to try it)

I haven't purchased any raw meats (I'm extremely particular and purchase only select cuts), however; on certain holidays they have massive SALES that no other store can compete with. This past mother's day they had 2-Lobster Tails (medium size-8oz-10oz) 2 @ $7.00 and on another holiday they had bulk Alaskan Snow 🦀Crab Legs for the cheapest price I have ever seen (iirc $4.99 pr LB)

I took my brother to the store today so that he could get out of the house. All he wanted was some candy. He is a 77 year old veteran, who has recovered from a stroke with dementia. The line he got in was slow and he made an out loud complaint I asked my brother to lower his tone and I stepped aside for social distancing and allow him to make the purchase. When he got to the register the clerk would not let him purchase the candy. The clerk escalated the situation by throwing the candy aside and saying he could not purchase it. How rude. I escorted my brother out of the store and came back to purchase the candy. The clerk served me but with an attitude. I spoke with the manager. So my cousin and I went to get Wednesday chitterlings. There at the start of the lunch hour. We ordered the “chitterlings,collards and potato salad. $99.00. Only to get to our homes to find out that they served us hog maws. We are 30 minutes away you can only imagine our disappointment. I was also disappointed with the potato salad and collard greens (which by the way tasted like salad )the potato salad was to soupy.
