I love love the food. But the 2 females that are working right now are very disrespectful. One just cut her finger and while waiting on my subs I had to hear her f this and f that because they did not have band aids. Did not care one bit there was 3 customers in store waiting for our food. I'm a GM of a sub shop and if my employees carried out restaurant in this manner I would want to know and be highly upset. If I did not already have such a great experience with this sub shop I would never come back here behind the service given today. But I so want to say this is the 1st time over many years of eating here and the Portsmouth store I've ever seen employees act this way. It really is a problem that management should take a look at. Other than the service today I do love love your subs. Well when I ordered my 2 subs I asked for the oil and vinegar to be on the side but when I got it home it was loaded with oil and vinegar and let me tell you I was not happy. I have always enjoyed your subs to the fullest. This was the first time that I did not and have to tell you I won't be back for a good while behind the subs that I paid good money for in here today and the service made it taste that much worse. I do hope that you are able to get what I am use to as far as your employees back to serve your subs. In all honesty it really only takes one time of this kind of service to loose a long...
Read moreWe always love the super greater grinder. We have been coming here since I was little so at least a good 30+ years if I had to put a number on it. Lately, most are easy going employees who will make our subs just as we ask (no lettuce, add mayo, sweet peppers, and hot peppers). The past few years we have gone the price is kinda expensive but what hasn't gone up lately and they add a fee for debt/credit cards which is crazy. The last 3 times I have gone in to pick-up (we always ends up getting 4 to 5 subs) after calling ahead I have had a short wait but the shorter African American that rings me up ALWAYS is a pleasure. He says welcome in to everyone who walks in, he smiles the ENTIRE time I am there, is very nice and bubbly, uses his manners when speaking, AND he is that way with everyone even if they aren't as nice back. Some of the folks behind the counter aren't as nice as him and seems to be grumpy or just don't like their job and don't want to be there. I have also heard a few behind the counter conversations and folks on break have conversations and the choosen language is not very appropriate/clean that I feel customers should not have to hear. The other thing I don't really like is that there tends to be groups of people outside the building on the side smoking marijuana and I don't care to smell that nor want my kids...
Read moreThe sandwiches were good, but a bit on the bland side; I had what is considered their Italian sub, the Super...something. For a quick bite to eat it was satisfying. The bread seemed fresh and was very tasty. I also had 2 cookies, a chocolate chip and a peanut butter, they were both soft and delicious. Definitely isn't a place I would go out of my way to go to, but we were in the area and it had a 4+ review so we stopped in. In my opinion a 4+ rating is a little high, I would say its middle of the road, not great, but good. If I find myself in the area again I would eat there again, it was a good quick lunch. FYI all sandwiches served toasted unless you ask for them not to be, my travelling companions did not read the menu and didnt see that and we had to get them to pull their sandwiches out...
