I visited after church for the very first time. The ambiance is amazing...colorful, happy, inviting. Though they didn't offer what I normally order when I go to most Mexican restaurants, they improvised. I did paid more than I'm used to paying for similar meals; but, the fajita meat and veggies were hot (like I like them) and delicious. Service was PHENOMENAL and the atmosphere was also great. The waitress is kind, fluently bilingual, very patient, professional and caring with EVERYONE. I had the privilege of talking with her for a while after eating and as she was clearing the tables and cleaning. She even took the time to describe dishes to me that I was not so familiar with. They have delicious, invigorating, infused waters and teas, which is different from many other restaurants. The pineapple version even has a little bit of "the mother" (pulp) in it. I don't mind payin $4 for a taco but if im paying that high it needs to be perfect, these were far from being that. The elote was ok nothing special abt it, maybe if they tossed it around in the fire for a bit so it can have that burnt taste instead of just boiling it, it could be better. The green sauce tasted like water but the red one was decent had a good kick to it... probably wont be coming back. La Hacienda in Chesapeake is still the only place ai've found that's top...
Read moreI'm a transplant from Texas.. also Mexican.. We've been in the area for 6 years and have been in the hunt for Mexican food. It's got the flavor, super fresh, good ingredients. You can tell a Mexican guy from Mexico is back there in the kitchen. The restaurant is a little small, was very clean. Service was good. Prices are good and portions are big. 10/10 will be returning. Best Mexican food in Norfolk. My picky toddler...
