Edited to respond to the owners reply: Hi Linda, I can assure you I do not have the wrong salon. I went to your salon on Omaha Ave in Norfolk, NE. You will not find my name in your client list because the name on this account is not my actual name, for the sake of my own privacy. This incident happened in September of 2022. I added an extra photo which is a screenshot from a video I took while at your salon, you can’t see much but I would imagine you can recognize the paint color on the walls matches your salon.

Linda, the owner tells her stylists to change hair dye colors without consulting clients. I went here with a very faded green still left in my blonde hair. I know that green is one of the harder colors to get out of hair so I was expecting that my stylist may not be able to do exactly what I wanted. When I showed the stylist what I wanted, medium neutral brown with blonde balayage highlights, she said we may not be able to do exactly that but suggested that if we did a darker brown that had red undertones to cancel the green, it may work. The green in my hair was very grown out so she recommended that we use a more neutral brown on my roots and then had me pick out both that and the red toned brown for the rest of my hair. She then went to the back to mix up both colors and started with the neutral brown on my roots. Once she started using the red toned brown on my ends, I remember thinking the dye is turning very magenta colored as it developed. But I thought, she’s the stylist, I picked the color, maybe it just had more red in it than I thought. After my entire head was covered, the owner, Linda, comes over looking rather concerned about how red my hair was and wiped some dye away to check it. It was straight up magenta red. That’s when Linda proceeds to tell me that, while in the back mixing my dyes, she instructed my stylist to use a more red shade than what I picked because Linda thought I had much more green left in my hair. Neither her or my stylist bothered to ask or even inform me that they switched my dye. So then the stylist says let’s go wash this out and see how it looks. I had two inches of brown at the roots and the rest was magenta. It was awful. After I saw my hair I told my stylist I did not like it and wanted it fixed. Linda came back over to try to guilt me into keeping the brown roots and magenta hair and wouldn’t let it go. Eventually she gave up and my stylist found some other brown to neutralize the magenta. After all of that, I walked away with a very dark, red toned brown on my hair, no highlights. And they still charged me for it. I left the salon in tears over the whole situation. TJ is fantastic. This was my first visit to the salon and I had booked a color service and cut. TJ did a thorough consult. He asked me questions to get to know how I felt about my hair and then explained the reasons behind what I thought I didn’t like about it. He ended up convincing me to leave my natural color alone (natural gray). He could have made more money by giving me what I asked for and was willing to proceed, but once he gave me his thoughts and suggestions, I decided to hold off. He made me feel really good about my hair. At a different salon a few years ago, I had also booked a color consult, but when I decided against getting the color the stylist guilted me into proceeding because ‘I had booked her time and she would lose money because she couldn’t recover the time slot’. TJ had no such attitude. When I told him I felt bad about that, he said it was more important to have a happy client. He made me feel so at ease and just gave me a great cut. I went in to see TJ with red hair wanting a new color...shades of grey. He was patient, professional, fun/funny, knowledgeable, respectful, courteous and so much more! I had been coloring my own hair for MANY years and he had no issues with knowing how to tackle the task. He booked me for plenty of time so there was never any rush or trying to take shortcuts. I knew it would be a lengthy process and enjoyed spending time at the salon, with TJ as my specialist.
