Chain-Mar Furniture Showcase — Local services in Norristown

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I wanted a new couch, my parents have London Furniture by LaZBoy and we wanted to follow suit. We went to a shop in NJ that sold it, designed our whole couch and I asked 'Will it fit' into a 32in Rowhome house. The answer we got back was 'I think so.' Well being custom, I was not going to go with 'I think so' because once you buy it its yours.

So very dejected we returned to our house. I looked up another London Furniture dealer (Chan Mar) and emailed them. Bob and his team were AWESOME. First they assured me that they would guaranteed whatever we bought would fit into the door, and would send someone out to measure for FREE. He even offered that if we came to the store we would go through all the options.

So we tracked out there on Monday, braving the traffic on 76, and boy was it worth it. Sadly, we did not end up with the couch that we wanted, because it would indeed not fit. But fear not, they had multiple high end custom options that would fit. We were looking at CraftMaster and FlexSteel, and ultimately decided on the Craftmaster. It was pricier(1000$ more) than the London, BUT it was a superior product(also not knocking London, my parents have multiple pieces and they're amazing, had it fit, we would have one). But my options were, a couch that was more expensive or a couch that would not fit unless I widened my door. What's even better, FREE DELIVERY. No nickel and dimming over 'milage radius,' preferred day? No Problem. The movers even moved the old couch out to the curb, and were professional and took very good care of the couch. One of the feet fell when they were taking it off, and rather than hide a slight scratch they were upfront and told me. I was fine, because its a foot.

Had an overall amazing experience, and will be returning back there as well referring anyone that will listen to go.

I was looking for a small sofa with a chaise and had been looking for a while and I could not find what I wanted. I saw their ad on TV and I gave them a call. I spoke with Nancy who said they had this kind of sofa and she was extremely helpful and she suggested I come to the store and see what they have. I went to their showroom and Bob greeted me. I explained to him what I was looking for and he showed me a sofa with a chaise that was exactly what I wanted. I was able to pick out the fabric for the sofa and the accent pillows with Bob's assistance. The sofa was delivered by 2 delivery men who were polite, friendly and very professional. The sofa exceeded my expectations. It was beautiful, well made, made in America, comfortable, and I have received many compliments. I never heard of Chain-mar while searching for a manual recliner. I was informed by my daughter that this business advertised on TV. I had received no help from any of the big furniture stores. It was always an excuse. They didn’t sell manual recliners. It would cost more money to convert any recliner. It went on and on. I took a ride to Chain-mar and, wow, what a great experience! Bob is the most low pressure salesman I ever encountered. He was very patient and took the time to explain the entire process. He debunked all of the nonsense spouted by my previous experiences while looking for a manual recliner and the recliner actually cost me less than the other stores. The entire procedure could not have been easier. This store is a hidden gem. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Five stars only because you can’t rate them higher.
