I've skied all over and today was my first time at Central. Phenomenal, let me say again PHENOMENAL. Of course the 9" of fresh powder made it awesome. It is a smaller hill, but there's lots of acreage and absolutely NO lines, very friendly, family friendly and only 1.5 hrs from Seattle. 4 different mountains to choose from all good on 1 lift ticket bought. Yes prices are expensive but so is every where else so unless you wanna drive 3 hrs to Baker to save $6 off peak. Now obviously if I'm going on a ski trip I'm probably not coming here, but that's not the purpose of this hill. For me out of the choices within 2.5 hrs from Seattle, Snoqualmie is hands down the best overall in my opinion. But it depends on what your looking for, if you love groomers and standing in lift lines more than skiing definitely go to Stevens. And if you wanna go on a ski or snowboard trip then go to Sun peaks or Big Sky but if wanna hit the slopes for a day of fun in the pow pow and be back home changing diapers then the summit is the place!!

I went to this place with my friends. This is a convenient location within 1 hr of driving distance from Seattle. We went on the weekend after Christmas so could get parking easily. The place looked magical with snow laden trees. I wanted to do snowtubing and they were sold out for all the different slots so got a bit disappointed but had fun with friends. The place also has 2 cafeteria - main one near skiing and the other one in snowtubing section. Both have options for vegetarians - main cafe has gyro, falafel, cheese pizza, etc. while the other one has veggie rice bowl. We came back to the main cafe at ~3pm and they were sold out on Greek food.

Parking aplenty here! Gravel lot that is sometimes icy and snowy during the busy season. Be careful going through here as there are buses offloading kids for their ski lessons! Charter buses may park here but be wary of the ice and snow. Be sure to pack sand and chains in case you get into a sticky situation.

Great place for winter sports and adventures. We got up ok without chains in Jan but they're usually recommend and it's wise to have a set on you when making the trek. We were in a jeep with 4 wheel drive. Most of the drive is just slush, but as you near the summit it's solid snow n ice. Definitely dress for weather.

There's lots of parking, and it's free. You just pay for tubing, ski, and lift passes that are good for a session. Sessions last a couple hours and they have detailed info on their website. You can even buy ahead of time online, which we did... and boy were we glad! Bc when we got there the session we'd planned on had sold out. I'll always buy my passes on line from now on.

There's a small lodge area with bathrooms and a snack n cocoa counter, and the whole place seems to be staffed with laid back teenagers. I'd recommend a trip to...

REVIEW OF PARKING LOT ONLY NOT THE SKI RESORT

This is hands down one of the worst ski resort parking lots I've ever experienced. I've been here a handful of times and every time I am left extremely frustrated and in a bad mood. I have seen it some days here where there is a foot of snow and then it starts to melt and there is literally a river of water running through the parking lot that is impossible to cross by short people or children.

They really need to pave the lot and then plow it and maintain it. This is one of the main reasons I shy away from coming to this place. Every other resort in the area can figure it out...
