It was perfect. We lucked out on a beautiful sunny blue sky day. There was plenty of parking for us at the 1pm time slot. It was a weekend but NOT a holiday. It was everything I had hoped it would be with my family. It hadn't snowed much lately. I've actually never been there when the snow machines were going. We got there at 1:00 which was perfect. They just regroomed all the slides. And the weather made it perfect for this extra fast fun slide. I think most of the families with the younger kids had already gone. Because we showed up late and was still was able to get in 9 rides! Reviews I had said expect 6-7 rides if you get there early. We do have bigger kids though, 7 and 9. The line looked long for the conveyor belt to take you to the top. But it really didn't take that long. Standing in line as the 15th-20th person back from the tunnel (10 person in each line, there was 2 lines 1 tunnel) you are probably only in line for 3 to 5 minutes before entering the tunnel. Which is maybe a 3 minute ride to the top? Walking it wasn't much faster. We tested that with our family. And 2/3 of the way walking up, you have flashbacks to when you were a kid walking up those hills to slide yourself down, again and again. On the snows days. Its that last one third that takes the effort.
The staff was also very helpful on the hill. Quick and informative. Also, they have the knack down on how to push, or spin people going down the hill. You normally just push or run just push and run. Try put a twist on it if your looking for a thrill. They have the technique to get you to spin wicked fast! So much fun for the kids. On that last run my sister and I asked "do you spin moms too?" This young man said "absolutely" It was the most fun and the biggest thrill I've had of 2025 so far! I hope that young man's shoulder is still intact. I'm not a small human. But it was such a great time! We can't wait to go back and do it again! I only wish we had a little bit longer of a time slot. Especially organizing kids and families and winter clothes, snacks. I wish we could have a 3-hour time slot instead of 1hr 45min. We made the most of it though. It even got us adults running back to the line to go up again, like...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience today.
We were delayed by 1 hr due to standstill traffic jams due to minor crashes within 8 miles of the pass.
Checked in at 12:15 PM, they informed us about the power outage, no ticket scanning, the lift isn’t working and they don’t use generators at this place. We can hike the place but no discounts or refunds. It’s tough to turn back and leave when you planned and lugged your kids for almost 2 hours.
My 5-year-old sled just once and wanted to use the restroom before the next slide because the trek is taking some time, I stood in the park taking some pictures of the place while waiting for my family to come back, and the staff was already asking the current batch to leave.
I requested the staff member if they could let us in just for a few more slides as part of the next batch, as we came in almost when the current batch was wrapping up and there was also no lift, just as a courtesy to a customer.
The staff member said he saw me in the park and I’m lying about the late check-in part, he asked me to pick my child up and get out! or else he would block us from entering the park in the future. My kid started crying because she can’t tube. I tried explaining, but the staff member wouldn’t listen to me, getting upset over nothing, and kept accusing me of being dishonest, he even called the security from his mobile phone complaining to them that I’m refusing to leave the park, though we are not uttering a word or acting up in defense. I'm not sure if this is their operating style or some issues with just this member.
Drove up 2 hrs in snow and spent $100 plus, sled just once, maybe it was my bad day, but the whole verbal aggression from this staff member was very unwarranted, especially in front of kids. Rationally thinking, this discussion could have ended neutrally at the very least if not in a...
Read moreMy family and I have been coming here for 8 years or more and have always had an amazing time. We have never had any issues, until today. Needless to say we have never been so disappointed with management. We spent around $400 for all of our tickets to be kicked out of the park for doing nothing wrong but looking out for the kids . My husband slid down the hill today and moved out of the way the best he could, but of course he waited for the kids . Would you leave your children behind with a bunch of strangers ? Of course not . So why would he ? The manager came over and told him he needed to move out of the way and my husband explained to him that he was waiting for the children . After saying this the manager came over and ripped my husbands inner tube out of his hands and threw it with aggression . He then told my husband he needed to leave the park! My husband told him he was not leaving without the children. Because of this the manager said since you won’t listen now your whole family has to leave and never come back! My family understands the safety rules and precautions this park demonstrates we have been coming for over 8 years . However we were not the only family who would wait for their children after sliding down the hill. Therefor why did we have to be picked on, humiliated in front of everyone and then kicked out not even in hour into our session ?! After asking the manager for his name we received the response “Mike none of your business”All the children did not need to be striked with fear because of the managers yelling or aggression with my husband . I hate to say it but if the park chooses a manager like this we will...
