Had my 2020 gas club cart ( has 21.3 hours ) in for a sound bar install ... WHAT A MISTAKE..... Was greeted by Bill (at Charleston Custom Carts Clements Ferry Rd shop) and he explained that they install these all of the time with a special bracket that they have. I loaded my cart onto my trailer and took to have it installed . Well was called the very next day and was told it was ready. After getting home the next morning went to use golf cart and battery was dead . Called and explained that there was a draw on the battery and something had to be wired wrong . So my son went and picked up trailer from storage ( on his lunch hour) and loaded cart back on trailer again (please be advised we live off of Hwy 41 11 miles from Clements Ferry Rd shop). Called Bill and told him something was wrong , he asked if I could bring back , I said I can get my son to do it but he would have to go and get trailer from storage and load cart and bring back up to him. Well I was called back and was told it was wired to a wrong wire and it was fixed. Son went and got trailer and went back to Charleston Custom Carts on Clements Ferry Rd and picked up again. Long story short ended up being wired wrong again and now is wired straight to battery again ( which I know is still not right) was called by Chris and explained my dissatisfaction about the wiring issues and the picking up ( 3 TIMES ) and delivering 3 times ( for the same issue) t; he said it should be straight forward and would find out what was going on . I explained that if it has to be wired straight to the battery at least put a switch on the cart so i can cut off the sound bar so it would not kill the battery ; he said he would get me switch and delivery it to me . Well neither were done. I called 5 times and left messages and got no call back .My son ended up ( again for the 3rd time ) going to get my trailer from storage ( on his lunch hour) loading cart and bring home 11 miles from Charleston Custom Carts The install looks great but misleading a customer about knowing the wiring of the cart and installing something that you say you have done several times and cannot get wired correctly is very misleading and...
Read moreStandard Maintenance and a rattle in the steering wheel. Took over 3 months to complete the process of getting someone to answer the phone, return emails, get appt and follow thru on my own w the sales team bc “it’s just impossible to get service on the phone. You should mention that to the manager” as said by the sales woman that actually answers the phone. I was told the issue I had was easily fixed on YouTube and to send a picture to Marcus the service manager on May 10. I did that within a day and after almost 3 months later I got an appointment date. No other information and I called and emailed multiple times to ask how the pick up process works because I wanted to make sure i was home when they came for pickup. I called the sales lady and she told me I was scheduled to have my cart picked up that day but that nobody put a time in and she had no idea what time it would be so she had to call the driver and luckily he was 15 minutes from being at my house. And now over three months later, my cart is back for $100 over what the quote was for, the steering wheel still rattles and I guess I just have to trust that the work was done because I don’t know how to tell if regular standard cart maintenance was complete.
Overall, the communication was unacceptably bad. I was told by the sales manager that either the service manager or the owner of the store would call me within the hour, twice and the last time I called I was told, actually I was guaranteed, the owner of the store would call me that day and of course he/she never did. The money is not the problem, the rattle that still exists is not the problem. The ineptitude and lack of communication is just unacceptable. Their website builder is so easy use!! Once my quote was complete, they called me promptly, offered suggestions and ideas based off what my husband wants and needs. They have everything you need to accessorize your cart for every need - even got a flag pole installed for his POW/MIA flag!!! The cart turned out so much better then imagined - they truly made magic happed!!!
Danielle kept in contact with me during the build and answered any questions I had while we waited for delivery. Every communication with the team was pleasant and they obviously go out of their way to provided awesome customer service. Definitely a refreshing change from the normal service I receive from company’s around the low country!!
Jake delivered the cart and spent an hour demonstrating the cart, features and operations. Trust me this is huge deal as my hubby can be pretty particular and Jake took his time and really seemed very motivated to ensure my hubby had all his questions answered to his satisfaction. Jake was absolutely wonderful. Even included some sweet swag with our warranty packet!!
